Product Description
TUCKER & DALE VS EVIL is a hilariously gory, good-spirited horror comedy, doing for killer rednecks what SHAUN OF THE DEAD did for zombies. Tucker and Dale are two best friends on vacation at their dilapidated mountain house, who are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of obnoxious, preppy college kids. When one of the students gets separated from her friends, the boys try to lend a hand, but as the misunderstanding grows, so does the body count. TUCKER & DALE VS EVIL has been a hit on the festival circuit, debuting at Sundance, and winning the Midnight Audience Award at SXSW, the Jury Prize for First Feature at Fantasia, the Best Director award at Fantaspoa, and the Best Motion Picture Award at Sitges.

I've watched this movie a dozen+ times, love it, its on Prime too. I wanted it for my collection but what I REALLY wanted bonus content and IT's INCLUDED! So happy! You can see by the Amazon rating that this is a well loved movie, if you havent seen it but like comedy hilarious gore horror, this is for you. Buy it!!
The story follows a group of college students who cross paths with hillbillies Tucker and Dale while camping in the Appalachians. The college students are pretty biased against hillbillies, especially after listening to a 20-year-old story of the "Memorial Day Massacre", so they're convinced that these hillbillies are actually crazed killers. We learn quickly that nothing can be further from the truth as Tucker and Dale are two very affable (if somewhat dim-witted) guys who just want to go to their vacation cabin for a little fishing. Things go really bad when one of the college girls falls into the water and hits her head. Hillbilly Dale rescues her and nurses her back to health, but her friends assume that she's been abducted and will face a horrible fate unless they rescue her. Of course, each rescue attempt results in an accidental (but gruesomely hilarious) death which only exacerbates the situation until it culminates in a final "Showdown" between Good and Evil.
There is so much to like about this film. The actors portraying Tucker and Dale put so much heart into their characters that you can't help but root for them. Especially Dale who proves to be a genuinely good-hearted guy and an almost noble hero near the end. All performances are really good, but Tucker and Dale are the standouts. The death scenes are really gory and gruesome, but they're darkly humorous and you can actually quickly forget about them as the story progresses. Particularly when you get to Tucker and Dale's bewilderment at what's happening around them and their hilarious attempts to make sense of everything.
Blu-Ray package is good. Presentation is really good, and the features are enjoyable. I enjoyed the Outtakes reel and a 16-minute short "Tucker and Dale ARE Evil" which is an edit of the final film showing just the scenes from the College Kids point of view where Tucker and Dale are (in their minds) homicidal maniacs.
Nothing bad to say about this release other than a warning that the death scenes are very graphic and can be disturbing to some. However, it is a fun ride and definitely worth buying.
