I love these stories-have them on CD and was thrilled to find this app!!!!
Great Music, Good Stories, Awful Illustrations
This audio series introducing kids to classical music has been around awhile. I like the idea of drawing kids into the music by way of a story. The stories--while a bit on the melodramatic side at times--do just that. My rating is not so much for the original series, but for this app which integrates illustrations with the audio. But the drawings are...yikes. Not good. At all. I don't want to be mean about someone's best drawing effort here, but they do not at all enhance the story, in my opinion. I'm just thankful that the developer offered a preview. The only reason I might purchase the full version of the stories is that it's probably cheaper than buying the CDs.
