Description

This is a simple game with simple rules. Just trap the the blue dot within the matrix of circles. This is one smart dot though...

Just tap on the gray dots and they will turn to orange. The blue dot is blocked by these orange dots.

Surround the blue dot with the orange dots before it escapes!

But is it even possible?

ALMOST awesome- easy updates

This game is pretty close to being really fun. It on its own is pretty good, but it gets boring and here are my thoughts-
-There should be two modes: free play and challenge. Free play should be exactly how it is now. Challenge would make the game a little more competitive.
FOR CHALLENGE MODE:
-There are only a certain number of default yellow dot positions. These should be considered "boards". Once you win, you should be able to see how many steps other people beat it in. And at that point, you should be able to replay that board and see if you can get it in that many steps as well
-There should be different levels with different numbers of default yellow dots.

This game is fun, but there are not enough statistics to make it worth while to play. And the "best score" now is pretty irrelevant because it's all based upon the random board you are given. To really make this a competitive, exciting game, give users the option to challenge their best scores on certain boards and to beat others. As of now, continuing to play it just seems boring considering my score can't improve much.

So, for all the overly competitive people like me, let's make this game a little more interesting!!! The hard part is already done, quick improvements could make this game awesome!

good idea, poor game design (solution in text)

Well, the concept is great. I really like it, even the really intelligent AI (its not really intelligent, just taking the shortest path out). But the execution of the concept is rather poor. THERE IS ONLY ONE LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY. Some people (including myself) have difficulty with the game, like wanting to throw their phone off a cliff (not recommended). Yes, there are strategies to win. I read them all, watched all the tutorials And I only win around 1 in 10 (and I do highly technical work for a living). Some of the problem lies in the random arrangement of yellow dots.; some are simply not winnable.

This problem can be EASILY FIXED BY THE GAME DESIGNERS. The simplest solution would be for male different levels, and level starts with a different amounts of yellow dots. Easier levels have more yellow dots (more opportunities to trap the blue dot) and even harder levels have fewer yellow dots (yes, really - some people really like to suffer). The added dots can probably be random, but for the easiest of levels they could be randomized around the edges of the board instead of just anywhere.

If you guys fix this, my 2 stars will go up to 4 or 5 (depending on how well the problem is fixed). And I might even pay for an add-free version. Otherwise, this game will be wiped off my phone within a few weeks max...

Reply to David Gibson's review

This game is amazing, dude. The excellent AI for the blue ball may make the game difficult, but once you get a good, clean strategy, it becomes relatively easy. I beat the dot on about 1/2 of my rounds. At first, I liked your review because you were just warning the players that the game is difficult, which is true. However, when I read on, you tended to get really mad at the developers. It's not their fault the game is hard. The difficulty just means they are very good programmers who want to give a challenge to the players. Don't worry, I'm not calling you stupid. I'm calling you over reactive. Please do not write comments or reviews when you are in rage mode. Hopefully, all of you people who have wrongly insulted this game can learn something from this. I've been you on games before, writing rage mode comments left and right, but after realizing that I had only been doing wrong, made it my goal to make the world a better place on this area. That's all I have to say.

Note to Ketchapp: Don't let comments like David Gibson's stop you from making cool games! ( ;
