Coax Stripper, 2-level

Perform 2-level stripping on RG58/RG59, 162/6, and Belden 1694A coaxial cables. This spring-loaded stripper also features a built-in Allen wrench for adjusting the blade to prevent damage to the cable.

Cable Stripper (round cable)

Adjustable cable cutter and stripper for round cables, UTP/STP telephone and data cables, and other flexible cables. Fluke Networks’ cable stripper provides effortless, finger-loop cutting and stripping of flexible cables. It features easily adjustable blade depth to 'score' without damaging shielding and conductors. Use it to easily cut and strip round cables, UTP/STP telephone and data cables plus other flexible cables.

Coax Stripper, 2 and 3-level

I've had one of these identical tools loyally strip cables for 3 years. I bought 4 more as I need them for a large project.As soon as I opened the tool fully once, the spring weakened, and is no longer closing properly. The whole point is for the spring to apply a calibrated amount of pressure on the cable to cut through the shielding evenly, whats the point if it applies no pressure because the spring failed without ever stripping a single cable!?!What do I even do? I can't return the things and I need them! Happily the 3 year old one is still working as intended, even after thousands of cables stripped.

It is a good tool, but has limitations, as compared to IDEAL 45-165 Data/Phone Cable Stripper, which is mostly sought after by professional contractors in data/com trade. Cannot replace the blade, unless you are creative and like to tinker with things ;-)
I finally did take it apart because I found being unable to adjust the depth of cut where it does not nick insulation of individual wires in CAT6. I replaced the hollow rivet, which holds this tool together, with a NY-lock nut and appropriate SS machine screw. Now I am able to adjust the blade where it cuts almost perfect, still not as good as IDEAL tool does. The other thing, I see as inconvenience, is that you cannot put this tool over a cable like a clip, rather have to run the end of cable into it, for a cut, as compared to IDEAL. Additionally you cannot do a lengthwise cuts, which IDEAL does.
