Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The first time I used the can opener it would not release the lid. It took me an hour or more of struggle to finally get the can lid out of the can opener "jaws". Then it wouldn't work anymore even tho I put in new batteries again. The one I bought for my mother a couple of years ago (a different brand) "popped" loose after opening the can leaving the lid, cut around the underside, on the can and the can opener completely free of it. Apparently this one does not have that function. I bought 2 (one for my daughter) that I am going to pkg up to return now that I am back from my mother's final illness/funeral.
I was only able to use it once. It didn't get all the way around the can but quit when it was almost there so I was able to bend the lid open enough to get the contents. I tried to use it again but it wouldn't work at all. Thinking that I might have had a bad battery, I changed the batteries four or five times, but it never would work again. I don't recommend buying this. It was not good.
