Greenfeld's portraits present multiple angles on the story, such as a young man who falls sick after emigrating to the big city and a doctor who bravely volunteers to treat patients despite the huge risk of infection. The author provides a history of the 2003 SARS Outbreak that was very helpful in understanding the current Coronavirus Pandemic. I recommend this book to anyone seeking to understand how a coronavirus could spread rapidly to multiple continents and shutting down the world economy.
