Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

"A winning?if slightly unorthodox?bedtime read" was PW's take on the tale of a lonely pooch who wakes a whole town for some nighttime company. Ages 4-up.

A dog, tethered outside in bucolic surroundings, howls and wakes an entire village. The comic antics of the townspeople and the charming watercolor vignettes of each roused family will delight both adults and children. The illustrations are richly colored and full of humorous detail. I was asked to read this again and again and again, AND I never minded.
