The ladies from Ten Beach Road are back! We first met these “extreme home makeover” ladies in Ten Beach Road.

Nicole still has money problems and Maddie’s marriage may or may not be in trouble, she isn’t quite sure . Avery is still trying to reestablish herself as a serious architect while she is forced to work with Deirdre, the mother who abandoned her at a young age.

Kyra is back, Maddie’s young daughter who is a single Mom due to a celebrity affair that was in all the tabloids!

Before I go any further if you have not read Ten Beach Road you do not need to in order to enjoy this novel. Although I would recommend it as a good beach read.

These ladies have a new reality show called “Do-Over” and have been hired to make over a once grand mansion in Miami’s South Beach area. Meet Max (one of my favorite characters) the 90-year-old charming homeowner and ex-vaudeville entertainer. Max has a decades old mystery that needs to be solved.

Nicole, Maddie, Avery and Kyra soon find out reality television is intrusive, has a shooting schedule that is not in their control and is covering more than just the remodel on the house. The producers of the show want to cover Kyra’s celebrity tabloid problems!

I like the parallel, the ladies re-do homes and try to re-do their lives at the same time. This book has a little bit of everything, romance, comedy, mystery, drama and a lot of southern charm!

The setting ,the somewhat quirky characters and all of their drama make this a fun book to read.

I started with the first book-"Ten Beach Road". I had never read a novel by Wendy Wax before and was looking for a good, easy read for vacation. The first book was fabulous! I love all the characters in it and looked forward to reading the second book in the series-"Ocean Beach." As the story grows, you really feel like you know the characters well and it's so much fun to see them grow and see what's going to follow on the next page, and then the next book! I hope you enjoy this series as much as I did!

This one continues their stories and the beginning of their reality TV show. Takes place on Miami Beach and is a good beach read. Multiple characters and plots, but I found them easy to keep separate and follow. Best if read in order #1 10 Beach Road, #2 Ocean Beach #3The House on Mermaid Point. I am waiting for # 4!!!

I enjoyed the entire book after reading the first Ten Ocean Beach. The setting is in Florida surrounded by a beach. The way the characters entertained in good/ poor living conditions and how the grew in relationships made me never want to put this book down.

There is never a dull moment and it has many plots of interest. I became part of each character to me that's a sign of a very excellent writer. I read or listened to Ten Ocean Beach and I was THRILLED to find the second book and cannot wait for the next to come out. I had to purchase the Novella can't wait for the entire book in July.

My husband listened to this book on a drive and while his interests are usually different from mine he too enjoyed Ocean Beach. There are many laughing out loud scenes. I don't want to give away the book but if you want a book you can relate and love every character this is for you.

I've been a Wendy Wax fan ever since reading her delightful "Accidental Bestseller" book. Ocean Beach picks up where 10 Beach Road left off. Here we find the women we came to know, each one different from the other and yet thrown together again to fix up yet another manse - this one in Miami. The twist here is that the owner - a character unto himself - lives at the mansion while they renovate around him. The second twist is that this re-do includes two 24/7 TV film crew staff as the women strive to turn this re-do into a television opportunity, because let's face it, they're all broke and need the income - but the TV producer has another agenda. The relationships between mothers and daughters, husband and wives, and of course, budding new romances are explored with Ms. Wax's humor and insight. As with all of her books - it's just fun hanging out with these characters and seeing what they'll get up to next. Thank you, Ms. Wax, for your clever brand of entertainment!

They laughed, they cried, they gritted their teeth, they supported each other & they were there for each other. Can’t get enough of Wendy Wax’s Ten Beach Road ladies. On to the third book in this series, The House On Mermaid Point. It’s already on my Kindle.
