Every American, regardless of race, should own this work, which lifts the Black female in ways that make me ashamed to have ever doubted my self-worth as a woman of African descent. Certainly, it should shame ALL detractors of Black women, while serving as a blueprint for understanding of those qualities that make us uniquely "sisters."
This Brotha made me cry from way down in my soul...because the way he feels about us...is the way I feel about Black Men....I simply love! them....no matter whom or what...we have a spiritual bond! that cannot be destroyed...by hate...self hate...or any other weapon formed against us...we have an unspoken connection that will remain with us...until the end of time...
Brotha Dyson get's it!....he feels that connection...and thank you Blackman for helping many other's feel it too....Peace & Blessings to you always....
Family.... this book is a...Must!!! have....Sista's yes buy it for the men in your life....but also...buy it for yourself...it truly is a...Healing Balm...for our Souls.
Reading this book makes me even "gladder" that I am a Black Woman - I know that there are lots of Black Men who appreciate us but may not know how to verbalize it. Treating us with respect would say it all. I have recommended all of my Black friends to read this beautiful book - My great-granddaughter will read it this summer.
God Bless Michael Eric Dyson!!!
