Description

Rumbic Studio has unveiled Lost in Night, the company's offering for casual gamers. Combining fast-paced Match-3 action and the excitement of city-building, Lost in Night features three gameplay modes, hand-drawn graphics and relaxing music, and bonuses to keep experienced players on their toes.

While other Match-3 games support only one gameplay mode (Swap or Chain), Lost in Night goes a step further by now including Group, a third, new gameplay mode. Swap pieces between spots, trace a “chain” between identical pieces, or – now – explode groups of similar colors. And to complete a level, destroy the marble plaques. It’s harder than it sounds! Another game exclusive is the shape of the playing field: Lost in Night offers a traditional rectangular field as well as an innovative six-sided one for a greater challenge.

WHAT MAKES THE GAME SPECIAL?

- Three gameplay modes: swap, chain, group.
- You collect resources by playing match-3 levels, which help you rebuild the night town.
- Many power-ups: you can earn a diversity of bonuses - you’ll develop your own strategy for using them.

Simple, attractive, & fun, like cradle of civilization games

All I wanted was an easy match-3 game to work on my mac. Lost In Night so far has filled the bill. The trial version convinced me to buy the full version ($5 USD).

The graphics are whimsical and the colours are very pretty. I'm still on early levels yet, but they are fun, and offer several possibilities: match-3 (my favourite), chain (similar to those Cradle of Empires, in which you must drag across a stream of like objects to remove them), and group (get rid of them by clicking in clumps of the same type). There is also village-building, which hasn't caught my fancy yet.

The puzzles in the lower levels are easy enough to not frustrate me, although they stay interesting by the usual increasing demands: one chain, two chains, having to unlock a cube by turning it one colour and then unlock again to the next colour level.

Very enjoyable and works well on the macbook. If you want an easy, attractive game, it's worth the money.

Fun, simple, challenging

I love this game even though I have just only started playing it today, the graphics are outstanding, I also like the fact your bldg towns and villages while matching 3. Ilove match 3 games and have been playing others similar to this. All the Candy Crush Saga's are my favorite I will be adding this to my favorites list as well.

Not enough levels

While entertaining, there are not enough levels! You run out of game play WAY too quickly - particularly when you have spent $4.99. There should be more advanced levels and towns/buildings to buy and complete. I’d say if you are looking for something you can play long term, this is not it. I finished all levels after only one month of play. It seems if you want a game that goes on - you have to get one of those where you constantly buy new coins (or whatever). Another example of companies just trying to milk us for more dollars. I don’t recommend this.
