About Party Favor

Party Favor is a Los Angeles–based electronic producer who started making trap music for dance clubs and eventually collaborated with big-time rappers. • Born in New York City and raised in Utah, Dylan Ragland studied film at Chapman University in Orange County, California. There, he and classmate Alex Mulé began DJing around campus under the name Party Favor. They soon got big enough to tour. • When the duo split up, Ragland kept the name Party Favor and released the EP Parkin’ Lot Pimpin’ in 2013. • Early to the electronic trap scene, Party Favor found support among fellow DJs and producers like Dillon Francis, Diplo, and Flosstradamus. • Party Favor’s 2016 EP Party & Destroy arrived on Diplo’s Mad Decent label. The collection features Gucci Mane, Sean Kingston, Rich the Kid, and others. • Party Favor’s 2019 debut album, Layers, features guests like A$AP Ferg, Juicy J, OG Maco, Project Pat, Lil Baby, and Rich the Kid. • That year, he and producer Nitti Gritti (aka Ricky Mears) formed the duo SIDEPIECE and, with Diplo, released the Grammy-nominated "On My Mind." • He returned less than a year later with 2020’s The Isolation Album, inspired by time in quarantine. • In 2022, Party Favor released his third genre-crossing dance album, RESET.
