Essential Albums
- This 1996 album established the Mexican singer/dancer as a poster child for the surging Latin dance-pop genre. Partly inspired by Euro-disco, the sound is celebratory, combining snappy, programmed beats and thick, bubbly basslines on dance tracks like “Muévelo’’ and “Bailando Sola.” Meanwhile, Fey’s youthful voice is replete with hope on the romantic anthem “Azúcar Amargo,” and the sassy, uptempo “Popocatepetl” treats us to some New Wave quirkiness. Capturing the aspirations of Latin American youth, Tierna la Noche gave birth to a new teen idol.

About Fey
The youthful female vocalist known as Fey has sold over a million records in her native Mexico (and many throughout the worldwide Latin community), most of them produced by José Ramón Florez. Fey's self-titled debut was released in America in 1995, followed one year later by Tierna la Noche. ~ John Bush
