    This is one of those accessories I didn’t know I wanted until I started using it.

    As an average gamer (~4ish hour long sessions), the batteries have held up nicely. The build quality of the stand feels solid in hand, has enough weight to it that the controller settles in nicely, and is intuitive to use (yellow light = charging, white = done, 1 usb c port on the back).

    A few months back I picked up my first Xbox controller (just the basic Core version) and promptly found that it ate AA batteries like candy. Prior to this kit, I picked up the MS branded battery with usb-c cable which I have since returned. I didn’t realize how clunky it felt to have the controller lying about / plugged in until I started using the stand.

    For me the bottom line is just the convenience of it. If you’re more of a hardcore gamer and need to be able to hot swap battery packs or have an elite/more elaborate controller (triggers/wings on the back, etc.) then this may not be the all in one solution on it’s own.
