I purchased this for more ports on the robot that I was building, and it worked perfectly as it supplied power to the USB lights and phones. This is a great USB hub outside of my use case as well as it is slim and has a long cord to maneuver.

Laptop only has one USB port this fixed that allowing me to use a web cam microphone mouse and keyboard at the same time. I will say it does feel light and made of cheap plastic but great bang for your buck!

Great little USB hub, the slim profile helps keep your desk decluttered, I use it to transfer files between my computer and external SSD and the USB 3.0 speeds do this fantastically. Bought to replace another USB hub which had been lent and lost.
The old hub was much smaller but had a shorter and more fragile cable.
This item is far more suited to my needs. The cable length means the hub can rest on the desk surface even while the laptop is sitting up high on my laptop riser.
The cable appears good and durable. I noted at the ends of the cable, where it enters the hub and the plug, there's a slight recess. I expect this means it's less likely to get damaged, perhaps when it's pressed up against objects in my laptop bag.
