Accessory Kit for NES Classic Edition with Controller, 2 Controller Extension Cables, Power Adapter
It was $20 but well worth it. You get an extra controller and lengtheners for the controllers and that ac adapter.
Does it suck to spend the extra $20? Yes. But it's fun and worth the enjoyment we are getting out of it.
I simply look at it like this gaming systems r normally over 200 with no frills and maybe one downloadable game, that might be good. This has 30 popular games even if u found all the original games for 10 but each, which would be dirt cheap, it's still cheaper than buying each game separately. So for me I am very happy I got a mini system that can be played even in my cars overhead tv and 30 original games...
Update we purchased a wireless controller for it. Works great. Still loving it ..it's main purpose is roadtrips though. We went to 2000 miles one way and this system was playing the entire time and back...
My 16 year old even likes playing pac man, donkey Kong, and Mario brothers with me. Have even come home from work to find her playing it...The only downside is that it only comes with one controller AND the cord is very short...Highly recommended not only buying a second controller, but also getting the extenders so that you are not right up on top of the TV and can sit and relax on the couch..

As someone who really enjoys retro games, I felt buying one of these just for nostalgia was non-negotiable and when I finally got it, it was worth the wait.
Perhaps only the most hardcore gamers will like all 30 of the pre-installed games but even with the three Super Mario Bros titles, there's so much variety that most retro game fans will find several games they'll really enjoy.
The games look really sharp on an HD TV though the NES Classic has a mode that gives that slightly fuzzy look of a CRT display though I find this to just be a nostalgic gimmick.
As specified in the description, the console is not supplied with an AC adapter to plug into the Micro USB port. With the console being a low-voltage device, I can use the powered USB port on my TV to power it.
There are a couple of negatives, both are relatively minor but frustrating all the same.
1) To change game or load a save state, you have to reset the console. There's no means to do this with the controller, even with a Start & Select press to reset as had been seen on the SNES' Super Mario All Stars. However, as the controller port is the same as that on the Wii, you can use the Wii Classic controller and its Home button can be used to trigger a reset.
2) The controller cable is far too short for a lot of gamers. At just a yard long, it's OK if you play this console on a small screen TV but if you're playing on anything larger than ~26 to 34 inches, you'll be too close to the screen. Extension leads are plentiful and there are wireless solutions but Nintendo could have been more generous with the cable length as I doubt that a six-foot cable would have broken the bank.
Overall, I'm delighted with this console for the nostalgia it brings. It's a shame that Nintendo did such a deliberately limited run of them to drum up interest as those who missed out are at the mercy of scalers who charge you 2-4 times the price for the privilege.
Balloon Fight 1985 Nintendo
Castlevania 1986 Konami
Donkey Kong 1986 Nintendo
Double Dragon II: The Revenge 1989 Arc System Works
Dr. Mario 1990 Nintendo
Excitebike 1984 Nintendo
Galaga 1988 Bandai Namco
Ghosts 'n Goblins 1986 Capcom
Gradius 1986 Konami
Ice Climber 1985 Nintendo
Kirby's Adventure 1993 Nintendo
Mario Bros. 1983 Nintendo
Mega Man 2 1989 Capcom
Metroid 1986 Nintendo
Ninja Gaiden 1988 Koei Tecmo
Pac-Man 1984 Bandai Namco
Super Contra 1990 Konami
Super Mario Bros. 1985 Nintendo
Super Mario Bros. 2 1988 Nintendo
Super Mario Bros. 3 1988 Nintendo
The Legend of Zelda 1986 Nintendo
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link 1987 Nintendo
