This receiver was everything I hoped it would be and then some. The price was amazing, the shipping from OneCall (aka Huppin's) was incredibly quick, and the unit drives my Klipsch reference speakers with ease. As far as setup, the Audyssey calibration did a great job of correcting for my room, and I have the receiver set up to work with Siri through Apple Home. The satisfaction of firing up and controlling my home theater system with voice commands is second only to hearing the amazing sound this unit produces when paired with a good set of speakers.
Now that I've mentioned the positives, I will say there are a few things I'm cautiously keeping an eye on (i.e., they aren't negatives yet, and hopefully they never will be). First, I've read some other reviews concerning the amount of heat generated by certain receiver brands, Denon being one of them. This unit does put off a fair bit of heat, so I made sure to place it on top of an entertainment center where it could breathe and not cook itself to death in a confined space. So far, that seems to be all that is required for this thing to run like a champ, as it's never gotten warm enough to cause me any concern. Second, the Denon website and product literature that came with the receiver say it has a 2 year warranty, but someone at the factory left a sticker on the front of the receiver that says 3 year warranty. I am skeptical as to why Denon decided to reduce its warranty coverage by a year, so I will be watching my receiver very closely for any strange behavior as I approach the end of that second year.
All in all, as long as the heat and the reduced warranty window don't bite me down the road, I will consider this one of the best home theater purchases I've made. Seriously consider the 3600H if you are in the market for a 9 channel receiver - especially if you can get it at a reduced price now that newer models are on the market. This thing is a beast.

Amazing Atmos Sound!!!!!
This is a must buy if you are starting or upgrading your surround sound system. I am not new to this field, been loving the surround sound and home movie experience for over 20 years. The Dolby Atmos is an amazing experience. I am running 7.2.2 system and it’s the best sounding surround system I’ve ever had.I have nothing but Polk speakers and it’s a true movie like experience every day. This receiver is easy to use and set up. The step by step on screen set up was so easy my 8 year old could do it.All the features on here are perfect and give an amazing sound. I’ve been a pioneer guy forever so this transition to Denon took a ton of deliberation. I seriously was in arguments with myself and not sure about switching. I am extremely happy my wild and crazy side made me try it.So, when you’re ready, quit battling it in your head and DO IT!!!!!

The Dolby Atmos is an amazing experience. I am running 7.2.2 system and it’s the best sounding surround system I’ve ever had.
I have nothing but Polk speakers and it’s a true movie like experience every day. This receiver is easy to use and set up. The step by step on screen set up was so easy my 8 year old could do it.
