2.0 out of 5 starsGreat sound; otherwise a bust

This product delivers great sound quality but is riddled with issues in downloading CD directory metadata from the internet. If the metadata cannot be found on the internet or downloads incorrectly (which sometimes happens), the Metadata can only be edited from a computer, not through the control app. (The control app cannot be installed on a desktop but only on a smartphone or tablet, by the way.) If you are trying to edit metadata through an Apple computer, good luck. A technician spent 4 hours (and charged me $318) to get the metadata software that Bluesound sent me, which is PC-based, up and running on my iMac. The technician tried to called Bluesound technical support for help but found out they were closed on Good Friday. To add insult to injury, the next day my Pulse 2 wi-fi speaker arrived. I was assured I would have no trouble linking it to the Vault 2. Not so. For starters, the installation manual that came in the box said to go to setup.bluesound.com for set up protocols. It turns out that website doesn't exist. You get rerouted to support.bluesound.net, which has none of the screens the manual instructs you to use. I finally found a work-around to get to the proper screen on the app to link the Pulse to the Vault, but the program crashed part way through, and now the Pulse 2 is blinking red-to-green instead of giving me the steady green light that allows it to receive instructions. I tried to call Bluesound support but got a recording saying, in effect, they only work banker's hours. If I hadn't already spent so much time ripping several hundred CD's to the Vault, I'd throw the whole kit into the garbage and look for another CD storage solution.
