Sadly, it is Not as described.
I read the glowing reviews only to be "sorely" disappointed. The only good thing is that it did re-inflate w/in 2 hours to the correct size and shape. It looked really nice, in good shape and the cover looked really good.
When I first laid on it, it felt comfortable, but after a few minutes I felt an odd sensation of my behind sinking into a hole. When I laid on my side the same thing, my hips and shoulders sank into a hole and started to feel very uncomfortable as if stuck in the mud. There were some claims made about this mattress in the description. But after trying out the mattress, I found it did not live up to it's claims:
False Advertising Claims:
1: Coolness: it only maintains the alleged "coolness" for an hour or so. It is hot after a few hours, so I woke up hot and agitated and in pain from my hips, behind, and shoulders sinking into as if a hot, energy sucking mud.
Claim 2: The alleged "relieves pressure to hips/shoulders" claim (in the description) could not be further from the truth: I woke up after 3 hours in excruciating pain in my hips and lower back from sinking into a hole from any position I was sleeping. I was in pain for hours the next day after 3 hours of "trial" on this torturous mattress.
Claim 3: The claim that the mattress provides comfort for side, back and stomach sleepers could not be further from the truth: I woke up in pain to my hips and lower back, that I suffered from the next day. There is not enough support as you sink into the mattress, it forms a hot hole around you. It is a pain trap in reality. And not comfortable at all!
Another problem: If you sit on the side or edge of the mattress, it goes from 9" tall down to 3 to 4 inches, so there is no edge support, just some squashed memory foam squished flat. So I decided to test out the middle of the mattress, and sat in the middle and lifted my legs as if I were sitting on the edge, and I sank into a hole of memory foam just like on the edge of the mattress. There is just not enough support to keep you up on this thing and you sink in and it causes pain. Perhaps this is an older model mattress that has been in storage for too long, and the memory foam has deteriorated and not holding up it's alleged properties any more.
The carpeted floor looked very inviting after all of this, b/c of the "cool comfort and support" the mattress lacked. It's like a mass of pain causing memory foam, or a very good looking pain trap, that looks good until you sleep on it, in which case you are happy to fall off of the non supportive edge onto the floor in order to get some relief.
