A really good solid album with a little bit of everything; a lot of big name stars like Clapton, Jeff Beck, Peter Frampton, and the list goes on and on; and of course the man himself , Les Paul actually plays and sings a couple of songs.

This is the original tribute album that was released several years before the second album which has practically the same name. This is the one you want to buy. There are 15 songs on this album as opposed to 10 songs on the second, later album; and the second album re-cycled 3 of the songs from this album to reach the 10 song mark.

So this is the superior album.

そのギター生誕60周年（つまり、ソリッドタイプの初期型だね）を記念してレコーディングされた記念版です。

Not that much of a fan of Les Paul's use of effects. No denying his playing ability which is pretty much buried here or his place in the history of recording, but I like this assortment mainly for a few featured artists.
Clapton's over dubbed playing behind Sam Cooke's vocals on "Somebody Ease My Troublin' Mind" and a nice bit of Beck rock-a-billy chicken scratch eccentricity on "(Ain't That) Good News", Edgar Winter's take on "Rock & Roll Hoochie Koo", Billy Gibbons dirty "Bad Case of Lovin' You" and a Buddy Guy led assault on "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl".
