Rock Believer really impressed me with some up-tempo toe-tappers, an anthemic ballad or two, and some funky foreign-sounding riffing. Bits and pieces reminded me of 70s and 80s Scorpions, and made the record feel familiar and brand-new at the same time. Pretty much their best release since Savage Amusement or earlier IMO, what a good album! I've been a fan since the late 70's so "Seventh Son" takes me way way back. There are a few familiar sounding moments yet reworked a bit, just enough hint of the old riff but a brand new gem is formed with enough difference to make a nice, welcomed new classic. This album was a huge surprise to me in overall quality of songs and production, Mickey Dee playing drums makes a big difference as well here. Hard to believe Scorpions are heading towards 6 decades of hard rockin'...amazing!!
NOTE: The Special Edition has tons of brand new bonus tracks as well as a few different takes/versions etc.. Well worth it for the 7 new tunes!

This is, in my opinion, the best Scorpions album ever. This is coming from a guy who owns ten Scorpions albums. Rock Believer is high energy and melodic. It's loaded with beautiful riffs and harmonies. It's fantastic for working out. "Gas in the Tank" is terrific, as is "Knock em Dead," "Hot & Cold" and "Peacemaker." But the entire album is great. I also love "Shoot for your Heart" which is on the second disc if you get the deluxe CD. Thank you Scorpions for creating this album!
