I followed the guidance in this book exactly, and was amazed by the results. It’s magic for anyone who is willing to do exactly what she says for six weeks, no matter what. Read the entire book before you start. It really is a lifestyle change - a fun, exciting, effective one.

This is not just an exercise book or a diet book. Louise Parker offers her recommended plan for exercise, healthy eating, healthy outlook on life and more. It does not just state to eat healthy, it will also recommend that you should set a nice dinner table, make it look nice. The exercise plan is not an intensive, you have to spend 1-hour on cardio workouts. It works to make a plan that will be easy to incorporate into everyday life. I think it is a very good plan as it does not try to make you change for 1 month but for a lifetime. A good buy.

I love this book and program. I bought in on Kindle. And will get it hard back. I have been using the recipes and exercises for 3 days. I feel wonderful. I don't have the program down, but even my novice work is encouraging to me. The recipes are easy to follow, pictures help see them on your plate and check it. The diagrams and exercise section is very complete and is also easy to follow. You do break a sweat and are working. Great investment.

Just got this so I'm still working through the details. However, I don't like that it doesn't provide the nutritional info against any of the recipes. Perhaps this is coming in the recipe book coming out separately later this year? I know we aren't to be "counting" calories but I'd still like to understand what they are. It gives me a reference point and allows me to mix and match better. I'd also have liked a "pull-out" like section to use on a day to day basis as a reminder etc.
Lastly, I think Amazon should allow that if you buy the book you get the kindle version free or vice a versa so readers can get the most out of the contents and more usability!

The Louise Parker Method really works in the long run. I have used it for 4 years starting w a personal 12 week programme with one of the dieticians from her clinic in the UK and I now use this book and the cook book to continue being inspired. It has changed my life to the better.

While I don't like someone telling me what to do (meaning what to eat), and am stubborn, I really like the mindset chapters in this book.

They are a great way to create a base of positive thinking for whatever you want to do, and can be applied to anything you want to accomplish, so just for that alone, I highly recommend this book.

Questo libro mi ha aperto un mondo: dopo anni di diete più o meno sostenibili e più o meno efficaci, finalmente un metodo che propone un cambio di stile di vita, e aiuta ad adottare abitudini - non solo alimentari - sane e sostenibili. Se si proviene da uno stile di vita sedentario, consiglio di leggere prima The 6 Week Programme, della stessa Autrice: illustra lo stesso Metodo, ma l'approccio all'esercizio fisico è molto più graduale, e quindi più sostenibile. Dopo aver letto quello però, leggete anche questo: le informazioni complementari che contiene sono utilissime per imparare i 4 pilastri di un nuovo stile di vita veramente sano, piacevole e sostenibile. Ottime anche le ricette: ce ne sono tante, una più sfiziosa dell'altra, e se alcune possono non incontrare i nostri gusti, altre sono assolutamente allettanti (e tutte sono fattibilissime in breve tempo). Consiglio anche di acquistare, della stessa Autrice, The Lean for Life Cookbook: più ricette abbiamo a disposizione, e più ci rendiamo conto di quanto sia facile adottare e mantenere questo stile di vita che, lo ripeto, non si limita all'alimentazione, ma comprende anche pensare positivo, digital detox, un buon sonno, tenere la casa in ordine buttando via le cose inutili che la ingombrano, affrontare di petto i problemi e risolverli subito invece di portarseli dietro creando stress inutili, etc. Un modo estremamente utile per ripensare la propria vita e migliorarla, al di là della perdita di peso (che comunque avviene alquanto rapidamente).

A autora não conta calorias, o que é bom, mas os exercícios são muito puxados e não há uma preparação para quem não saber fazer. Basicamente, o melhor é dar os 10 mil passos, subir e descer escadas e deixar os exercícios para quando tiver melhor preparação física. Comer à mesa, cuidar da apresentação, é ótimo. Mas no fim das contas, a pessoa vai comer o que Louise Parker considera uma "boa" alimentação. Os pratos são bem sofisticados e talvez acima da média em termos de custo. Para quem realmente quer mudar os hábitos alimentares, acho que Fat is a Feminist Issue, de Susie Orbach é melhor.

I bought Louise Parker’s LEAN for LIFE mid November 2017. As with every other diet I tried in the past I always plateaued around 61kg. I had put on weight yet again in the previous year riding the yo-yo diet roller coaster. In February of this year I went back on a diet and lost 7 kg, but was once again stuck at 62 kg. Once I heard of the Louise Parker Method I was keen to give it a try. We all know that to lose weight we need to reduce calories and move more. Seems easy enough yet it’s a constant battle, but Louise has a way of packaging all that we know into a very holistic, practical method to take control and develop a lifestyle with the main emphasis on creating and keeping healthy habits. I’m 48, 161cm and have been following the LPM, laid out in her book, for 4 weeks. I weighed 62 kg when I started and now I’m at 59 kg and a total of 9 cm less in my measurements! I’m not only happy with the weight loss, but also with feeling less stressed and more positive. Thank you Louise Parker!
