Tl;dr, the lack of quality made me return the watch.
I'm not fussed with the lack of software features of the Rival as though I have measured sleep and HRV for recovery for a few years, I rarely act on the advice given to me from my wearables. I find the featureset on the Rival adequate and believe that it should be plenty for the majority of users. My only issues are with the quality of the product as compared to competing brands as well as the ELMNT bike computers which in and of themselves are top notch products in terms of hardware and software.
The primary issues I have with the Rival in its current state are as follows: light-bleed from the screen feels cheap; plastic buttons that make differing clicking noises at times when pressed is not confidence-inspiring; inconsistencies of the plastic resin casing; and the earth-shaking vibration motor (even on low) is wrist-numbing.
Outside of the complaints there are some great hardware features such as adaptive backscreen (ambient sensor), being able to choose just phone calls for notifications (software), battery life + the other highlighted features.
For $330 USD its easier to pay for than the previous asking price of $380 USD, but I feel there are still too many other higher-quality options on the market as of now. Hoping Wahoo makes a more compelling product in the future, because once they do then I'm buying.

Sie tragisch sehr angenehm, man bemerkt sie fast nicht am Handgelenk.
Das Zusammenspiel zwischen Uhr und App ist super umgesetzt. Ich hab alle Einstellungen der Uhr ganz bequem am Handy machen. Einfach genial.
