This is one of my go to camp stove now. I have taken this for multiple hikes and kayaking trips. It is bulky and heavy for backpacking stove, but I love the fact that it can charge my electronics with it.
I like how the stove itsself nests inside the pot nicely. I can also stuff firestarter, and woodpellet fuel inside of them for transport.
Pot is almost like a jetboil. And the cover has apout built into it. I have boiled a lot of water for backpacking meals and it usually is used to make a pot of coffee in the morning.
The grill, is again bulky, but it is nice to have when I want to cook nice chunk of meat. It came with a plastic cover so that is good so that it doesn't make mess in my backpack.
It has the function of generating electricity and gas built in power bank. I'm not really a guy who reads all the specs and memorize that stuff so I can't give you how many times it charges phone and that kinda stuff, but it definitely helps keeping my phone powered up. I carry actual power bank and solar panel with me besides this for that purpose, but this stove gives me the piece of mind that it is possible to generate more power when the others are depleted.
All an all, it is definitely not for lightweight backpackers, but I think it is perfect for car camping, kayaking, and those who don't mind carrying an extra weight and bulk. Money well spent.

You guys! No. More. Gas. No more cannisters to fuss with. No more rationing fuel. I love this thing!

I've been a backpacker and camper for decades, and I loved my lightweight, easy-to-use backpacking gas stoves. But this little stove rocks my world. I've been eyeing the Campstove 2 for a couple of years now, and -- after trying cheaper versions working on the same principle, but without the power unit -- finally bought one to use on a road trip. I love that I can gather a little pile of twigs, pine cones, and sticks and have a smokeless fire that will not only cook my food but allow me to charge my devices after a long day. And if the day is a little longer than was expected (as in my case the first time I used the stove), the light that comes in the bundle is super-helpful.

I bought some of the food-safe wood pellets to use in case I didn't have wood handy, and that turned out to be a good thing that first night, but I've since used just sticks and pine cones lying around the backyard to cook on the Campstove 2's portable grill. The grill is easy to set up, and although it'll take a little practice getting the heat-zones down, I love how it works. Everything cleans up pretty easily, and it stores like a dream. The charging unit does, of course, add a little weight, but I mostly car-camp now, so that's not a big consideration for me. I just love that if there isn't enough sun for my portable solar charger, I can light a fire and still have juice for my phone.

And BioLite's mission is one I fully support. In fact, now that I know how great their products are, I'll be back for the Basecamp Stove and Pizza Dome -- *swoon*! -- to use on the property I just bought in the mountains.

Perfect for anyone who spends a lot of time backpacking and camping. It offers a great way to cook, warm up, boil water, and charge any electronics you may have. I have used sticks, leaves, alcohol, coal, and wood chips in it they all work fine. the only downside is the ash does build up it and that inhibits its efficiency. I do think there should either be a way for ash to be cleaned out from the bottom or it should come with some kind of poker stick to stir up the coals that haven't been burned properly at the bottom. I do still love this stove and use keep it in my pack in tandem with my backpacking woodstove.

Well that's because they dont know how to start a fire. Make a whole bunch of feather sticks and your good to go. Just practice with the thing. It does eat sticks like crazy though. But nothing like a big fire would. 1 log split into tiny bite size pieces should last a very long time. I have a Samsung note 9. Charged my phone. But you do have to keep feeding the fire. Took a few hours. Drained the biolite battery. But kept the fire going which replenished it after a few hours. It's super fun to use also. Love playing with it. Oh also I tried the wood pellets. I personally think sticks work better. The pellets create a lot of mass in the bottom. Even after burnt. Where the sticks kinda just burn up. Also some say its loud. But I dont think it's very loud at all. Plus I walked 20 feet away while running full blast. Could not hear it at 20 feet away. So it's not loud. I look forward to getting some more accessories for this thing.

This was a gift for my daughter’s Christmas. It was very good value. My daughter and her partner love it, they were so excited to use it, they took it up a very snowy local hill on Boxing Day, made a cup of tea just to see it’s potential. They are patiently waiting to start exploring the Scottish mountains again once lockdown guidance allows it and they will be taking their magic stove with them. They have many gadgets already that reduce their carbon footprint but they believe this stove is so versatile; it cooks and heats using foraged twigs and cones and even creates extra energy to charge devices. I think I may buy one for myself!

Works well, puts out a decent amount of heat. A tiny wood gas stove. No smoke unless the flame goes out... then there's a-lot of smoke. So far used it for a weekend camping trip and managed to keep my phone at max 75% battery. I wouldn't use it as a phone charger expecting to run it for an 30 mins here and there to keep a full charge. You would need to run it for hours on end to get a full charge. My one legit criticism would be that there is no way to empty the ashes... so eventually it is necessary to put the fire out and empty the ashes. Pick up a 40 pound bag of heating pellets for 7 bucks at Canadian Tire and you can run it for weeks.

Ich war zugegeben etwas skeptisch vor dem Kauf, da diverse Rezensionen (nicht nur bei Amazon) eher durchwachsen waren. Meine Neugier war aber größer. Nach mehrtägiger Erprobung im Außeneinsatz hier meine Bewertung:

Preis:
Für einen Campingkocher eine Menge Geld. Wasser kochen kann man definitiv auch billiger. Wer aber Spaß daran hat mit Holz zu heizen und sich auf längeren Touren keine Gedanken über seinen Brennstoffvorrat machen möchte ist hier richtig.

Verarbeitung:
Sieht alles hochwertig und sauber verarbeitet aus. Der Kaffeefilter funktioniert tadellos. Der Kunststoff des Lüfter/Akkupacks verfärbt sich unter Hitzeeinwirkung ein wenig, verformt sich aber nicht.

Leistung:
1,5 Liter Wasser kochen laut Datenblatt in 4,5 min. Das schafft man in der Praxis nur mit sehr gutem Brennstoff. Knapp 6 min. müssen sich aber auch im Vergleich zu anderen Kochern nicht verstecken. Der interne Akku hat 2600 mAh. Es empfiehlt sich daher, Telefon und Stirnlampe bereits während des Kochens zum Laden anzuschließen um insgesamt mehr Ladekapazität zur Verfügung zu stellen.
Es lässt sich grundsätzlich alles an Holz verheizen, nur klein genug muss es sein. Wichtig ist nicht zuviel und nichts zu großes nachzulegen, das erstickt die Flamme und verwandelt den Kocher in eine Art Nebelkerze. Es braucht immer eine Zündflamme am oberen Rand. Wenn man den Dreh raus hat, kann man wirklich "rauchfrei" kochen. Die Rauchgasverbrennung kann notfalls auch mit einem Gasanzünder einfach neugestartet werden.

Zubehör:
Kaffeefilter (nicht im Lieferumfang) ist wie schon erwähnt ok. Die beiden Packsäcke schützen das restliche Gepäck vor Asche und Ruß. Den Grill habe ich bisher nur auf der Terasse probiert, aber auch das ging problemlos. Ansonsten liegen noch ein USB-Ladekabel, ein kleiner Becher und eine LED als Kochbeleuchtung bei.

Fazit:
Der Campstove 2 hat meinen Gaskocher vollständig ersetzt, dabei spare ich sogar etwas Packvolumen. Zusätzlich hat man eine Ladestation und ein kleines Feuer am Abend. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und hoffe nun auf eine lange Lebensdauer.

Für einen Campingkocher eine Menge Geld. Wasser kochen kann man definitiv auch billiger. Wer aber Spaß daran hat mit Holz zu heizen und sich auf längeren Touren keine Gedanken über seinen Brennstoffvorrat machen möchte ist hier richtig.

Verarbeitung:
Sieht alles hochwertig und sauber verarbeitet aus. Der Kaffeefilter funktioniert tadellos. Der Kunststoff des Lüfter/Akkupacks verfärbt sich unter Hitzeeinwirkung ein wenig, verformt sich aber nicht.

Leistung:
1,5 Liter Wasser kochen laut Datenblatt in 4,5 min. Das schafft man in der Praxis nur mit sehr gutem Brennstoff. Knapp 6 min. müssen sich aber auch im Vergleich zu anderen Kochern nicht verstecken. Der interne Akku hat 2600 mAh. Es empfiehlt sich daher, Telefon und Stirnlampe bereits während des Kochens zum Laden anzuschließen um insgesamt mehr Ladekapazität zur Verfügung zu stellen.
Es lässt sich grundsätzlich alles an Holz verheizen, nur klein genug muss es sein. Wichtig ist nicht zuviel und nichts zu großes nachzulegen, das erstickt die Flamme und verwandelt den Kocher in eine Art Nebelkerze. Es braucht immer eine Zündflamme am oberen Rand. Wenn man den Dreh raus hat, kann man wirklich "rauchfrei" kochen. Die Rauchgasverbrennung kann notfalls auch mit einem Gasanzünder einfach neugestartet werden.

Zubehör:
Kaffeefilter (nicht im Lieferumfang) ist wie schon erwähnt ok. Die beiden Packsäcke schützen das restliche Gepäck vor Asche und Ruß. Den Grill habe ich bisher nur auf der Terasse probiert, aber auch das ging problemlos. Ansonsten liegen noch ein USB-Ladekabel, ein kleiner Becher und eine LED als Kochbeleuchtung bei.

Fazit:
Der Campstove 2 hat meinen Gaskocher vollständig ersetzt, dabei spare ich sogar etwas Packvolumen. Zusätzlich hat man eine Ladestation und ein kleines Feuer am Abend. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und hoffe nun auf eine lange Lebensdauer.

fait pas mal de fumée au point de départ mais après un moment ça cuit vite et bien.
Le fumé est très sympa, ça chauffe bien de partout (plus à certains endroits mais ça va).
Il faut assez peu de buchette de bois (pour l'instant 7 par cuisson pour 3 personnes).

Pour le départ je met 2 cubes d'allume feu en bois compressé, vitesse à bloc et ça pars nickel (il faut évidemment que le biolite soit suffisamment chargé au départ, mais après il se recharge bien avec la chaleur).

Très sympa et léger pour faire cuire steaks et autre morceaux de viande (pas encore testé saucisse ou brochette ), attention à prévoir le transport de retour il y aura de la suie.
Se nettoie bien.

Fornello pirolitico di qualità, il kit comprende:
- Fornello pirolitico in acciaio cromato.
- Griglia ( ci stanno comodi 4 hamburger + 2 salsicce)
- Bollitore per liquidi da 1,5 Lt. ( quando mettete via il fornello lo potete infilare direttamente dentro il bollitore per risparmiare spazio)
- Battery Pack con ventola per l'alimentazione dell'aria (migliora l'efficienza del comburente) e presa del calore ( trasforma il calore in energia sfruttando una cella di peltier)
- Ciotola/Tazza di plastica resistente alle temperature alte ( ovviamente non potete esporla al fuoco!)
- Cavo USB micro per la carica dei dispositivi durante l'uso del fornello
- Accendi fuoco in materiale ecologico ( diavolina eco) e set d'istruzioni.
Devo ammettere che seguivo già il prodotto in quanto è molto famoso tra gli appasionati del settore e l'ho acquistato perchè il bundle pack negli altri store costa almeno 20 euro in più.
Utilizzato più volte e non posso assolutamente lamentarmi.
