I have had my vegtrug now for two growing seasons and I love it. I agree that some of the pieces seemed less than perfect when they arrived but I reached out to Vegtug and they replaced the damaged pieces. I emailed photos and a couple weeks later the replacement parts arrived. After rats ate more of my lettuce than I did so far this spring we have had no issues having worked hard to make our patio less rat friendly. Now I just have some birds to reckon with but our carrots, lettuce, cucumbers and peppers are doing great. The only problem is my veggies are growing so well I can’t use the insect cover. I suppose it’s a better problem then dealing with rats. Assembly wasn’t too horrific and the instructions are easy to follow. There is a video on the company’s website as well. I also have the veg trug potting bench and some barrel planters. Really enjoy this company’s products. I do wish quality control on the planters was better.
I bought the raised planter because of back issues and it has allowed me to continue gardening without all the bending.

Beware the advertising
You need a battery operated screw driver to put this together. It is important to know that the base and cover are sold separately. It was not clear when I bought the cover. It arrived but the base did not come with it. I called the company and they told me I would have to pay extra for the base. What I thought would cost $166 actually cost an extra $200+.I do love it and I will be able to plant veggies into the winter.

I bought the first one (background) in December 2021. We enjoyed the first one so much that I bought a second one for this year. These are great for people with health problems that prevent them from bending over for traditional gardening.
Unpacking and assembly only takes about 30-minutes with a 3/4” wrench and a Phillips screwdriver. If you can follow simple instructions, you can assemble this.
Yes, they are expensive, but if value your time they are worth the price. FYI, I bought the second one from Amazons used or scratch and dent selection. As noted in the listing, the box was a little beat up but the kit was complete, the components were not damaged, and it was $70 less than the new version.
