The Eyes have it.
Now that I have Googly Eyes, my wife's most frequent statement is "I can't take you anywhere!" It's a nice break after decades of "this is why we can't have nice things." I've been engaged in covert public acts of subtle amusement since the 60s. I'm the guy that catches teaches your kids how to make that dripping water sound by flicking their cheek with their fingers, how to make a bugle out of the garden hose, or how the persistent application a few hundred rubber bands to a melon can kill a lot of boredom with an out right spectacular result. (OK, exploding melons aren't very subtle). Men my age are often carrying little bottles of nitroglycerine. So, it's hardly noticed (even by my wife) if we are messing around with that little nitro bottle. Got to make sure there's still some in there just in case, right? There's no nitro in mine. I don't have a heart problem. Heck, I don't even have a doctor. My nitro bottle is full of Googly Eyes. When I get bored, I look for places that need eyes and I give them eyes. I do theme days. Food for instance. So far today, I scored a banana and the condiments at Ruby Tuesday's. I think I've only swallowed 4 so far. (Hint: remove them from broccoli before eating.) Maybe I won't do food again. Googly Eyes keeps me on my game without somebody's unattended kid ratting me out when the melon explodes. I also love that WTF moment when someone notices the eyes. No one's on to me (yet).
