This food is CRACK
It's 7am, one hour before I usually wake up. My boyfriend is snoring, slightly drooling on his pillow. I awaken to a paw patting my face and some impatient meows. I slowly start to open my eyes and feel another paw, this one hitting me in the eye. What on earth?? I feel a sandpaper tongue lick my face until I muster up the courage to open one eye. My one eye meets the bold brown eyes of my attacker, as our faces touch. Despite his 3lb pound stature, and young age of 3 months, he proves a difficult opponent. Alas, I stumble out of bed, to the bathroom, as his meows continue, following me to the toilet and as I sit down. He asserts his victory by pouncing on my lap, as if to say "Where is my breakfast, human." Still pawing my face, purring and meowing loud enough to wake up the entire apartment complex, I find enough strength to put my contact lenses in. The attacker is still at my feet, and I stumble out of the bathroom, having to shuffle each foot across the floor as the menace is glued to my every. single. step. I shuffle my way to this box, of pure undeniable kitten crack shoved in a can. The familiar pop of opening the can makes my 3lb menace grow ever more impatient, meowing intensifying, patting my legs and he begins his morning zoomies out of excitement for winning this round. Will he try for 6am tomorrow? Mashing up a portion, I put some warm water over it and mix in dry food. He has no patience for this and continues licking his chops. Am I next on the plate? He meows louder and purrs as I reach down to place his food. As he devours the food and purrs, I shiver in horror knowing it is only another 4 hours until his next feeding. Within one minute, he hops up on my desk and licks his chops, as I notice his food bowl is licked clean. A yawn and burp come out as he curls on my chest and a familiar stench of fish fills the air. Kitten 1, Human 0. Until next time, my little baby.
