Bruce

The 5th Element 4K UHD

In the 23rd century, a New York City cabbie, Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis), finds the fate of the world in his hands when Leeloo (Milla Jovovich) falls into his cab. As the embodiment of the fifth element, Leeloo needs to combine with the other four to keep the approaching Great Evil from destroying the world. Together with Father Vito Cornelius (Ian Holm) and zany broadcaster Ruby Rhod (Chris Tucker), Dallas must race against time and the wicked industrialist Zorg (Gary Oldman) to save humanity.

The 4K disc features a new 10-minute interview with Luc Besson where he looks back at the film’s inception and the initially rather divided reaction to its eclectic blend of European and American sensibilities.

Cornelius

Korben Dallas

Played by Bruce Willis: Korben has spent most of his life working for the Federated Territories as a special agent, but left the force six months ago to live the 'simpler' life of a cab driver. His new quiet life is interrupted when a heavily bandaged woman named Leeloo crashes through the roof of his cab. Before Korben knows it he’s fighting for the survival of the human race.

Leelo

Played by Milla Jovovich: Leeloo wasn’t truly born, she was cloned. Her original version lived among the Mondoshawan, an extraterrestrial race dedicated to saving earth from a Great Evil that appears once every 5000 years. Unfortunately, while journeying to Earth to gather the five elements to stop the Great Evil, their ship was attacked, resulting in the death of everyone on board. In the wake of the Mondoshawan’s destruction, a group of scientists manage to find a human hand, which they are able to clone into the new and confused Leeloo. Leeloo’s purpose is to interact with the other four elements and destroy the Great Evil. Leeloo is essentially a weapon, but she might prove to be more than her simple, destructive purpose.

Zorg

Played by Gary Oldman: When the otherworldly force of pure malevolence gives Zorg orders to collect the four elemental stones that are the key to defeating the Great Evil, Zorg is more than happy to help. He’s a big businessman with evil in his blood. He deals in high tech weaponry and anything else that will make a quick buck. Recently he’s devoted all his time to helping the Great Evil which has promised him tremendous rewards in return for his support.

Cornelius

Played by Ian Holm: He is the heir to a sacred duty that began in 1914 when alien life forms called the Mondoshawans visited earth. They informed the first member of Cornelius’s order that a Great Evil comes to earth every 5000 years, intent on destroying all life. It can only be stopped by the combination of four elemental stones with a fifth, human element. Cornelius has been entrusted with gathering the elements, and ensuring that humanity survives the Great Evil.
