This book of poems has great writing. Who knew Megan Fox would have such incredible insight, wisdom and such a way with words. Her writing is inspiring and poems some very short but striking. I honestly did not know what I was getting with ordering this book but I saw a snip of an interview which showed this woman in another light. She is a smart intelligent woman who understands a lot about psychology and sociology.

I love poetry and though I am not a fan of Megan Fox, I was curious to read her collection. I went into this with zero expectations.

I found some of her poems to be hard hitting, relatable, vulnerable, and heart wrenching. Personal life choices aside, it is evident that Megan is intelligent, articulate, and put effort into her debut collection.

I found myself in tears on several occasions and stretched out reading this little book over several days. The subject matter is serious and potentially triggering. If content referencing domestic violence, sexual assault, verbal and emotional abuse, and/or child loss is tricky for you, tread carefully.

The artwork accompanying the poetry is beautiful and adds to overall aesthetic of the book. The book itself is petite and perfect to keep on the nightstand.

I had to return and exchange this book due to some weird scuffing on the cover. It has like a rose petal type finish so probably got damaged in shipping. That’s Amazon’s fault. I wish they would ship books better.

Overall, I am happy with this purchase and unlike other celebrity poetry collections I’ve read, this one feels cohesive and not a low/no effort cash grab. For her debut, I think it’s definitely worth the read.

I do hope Megan finds happiness and a safe place for herself to heal.
