I am passionate about beauty care and know how important it is to have expectations met with a beauty product This is my initial impressions review- I would like to thank whoever invented this brush. My hair has always taken a long time. As a mom of a newborn and toddler, I can use all the time I can get. This brush gives me the getting ready time I need! A little extra time here and there! I have long hair that is super thick and can be hard to manage. It goes to the middle of my back and doing a proper blow out can take a good deal of time. I have never imagined such an amazing tool. It cuts my hair routine more than half the time it used to take. I use to blow dry first until 70 percent dry, do something else, then blow-dry and brush, then flat iron. Now, I am able to gently blow-dry and brush and then flat iron if needed. This takes so little time that it boggles me. The brushes are awesome and go through my hair without pulling and breaking which is very important with wet hair. I use the normal brush tool first to get my hair dry and then follow up with the round brush. There is a pink glove provided to ensure that my hand is protected. I am so impressed. I do not know the longevity of the brush but I hope it sticks around forever. This is my new favorite hair care tool and it will likely be my favorite for a very very long time.

I have had this for quite a few months and it is the only hair tool (among a sea of many) that has stayed permanently on my bathroom counter. I have very poufy, thick, Italian hair. Not curly, not straight...just in between so it always looks messy. After I wash and condition, I use a good leave in smoothing creme. I left it air dry about 70-80 percent and then I take the Sultra to the a few areas to and let the rest of my hair stay in its natural state. After it's all dry I run some shine serum through it all and all done. The Sultra makes your hair shiny and smooth. It's very slippery (in a good way) so your hair won't snag or tear. No more hair dryer or flat iron. as my hair is getting longer, I wish it had a larger barrel but it's not a complaint, just a wish.

A salon professional recommended this item to me as the best available hairbrush dryer, and I find I do like it. It does dry the hair fast. It is much easier to use than the old hair blower/brush arrangement, whose use always eluded me. It leaves my hair looking straight, but volumized. Good on you, Sultra.

I don't even think this tool is worth it at half the price, let alone $150. I have fine hair that is just past my shoulders. It takes forever to dry and curl, if you use this tool alone. My routine to try to review this product and still get to work on time last week ended up being: keep hair in towel as long as possible, use blow dryer to take the edge off the dampness, use this tool to smooth hair (the tool's best feature), and use my curling iron to finish. The waves this hair creates falls out a few minutes after cooling, so I need the curling iron to get waves and volume. I tried both brush attachments and different hair products (shampoo, conditioner, styling products) each day to see if I got a different and better result, depending on the products I used. I could never use just this tool alone and get a decent result in a reasonable amount of time, no matter the hair product. This tool works best on my bangs, but why go through 3 different tools or a longer process just for that?

Also, one of the attachments hard a hard time staying in place. Every time I tried to use it, the attachment flew off the tool and landed somewhere in my bathroom. Finally, I figure out a procure for which I twisted the attachment tight in one direction with one hand, while my other hand used the tool on my hair and twisted in the opposite direction.

I have owned MANY hair tools. I had a similar dryer to this in the early aughts made by Jilbère (now ConairPro). I loved it. I would use it on towel dried or damp hair to add volume and reduce frizz. Then my hairstyle changed, I grew it out, and started using a flat iron more often. But I have short hair again, so I was happy to try this out. Maybe this one is not as good, or maybe I remember my old one as being better...but I just wasn’t impressed. I wasn’t looking for it to dry my hair from completely wet. I wasn’t even looking for curls...I only wanted some good volume in the bangs and crown areas. I think the bristles on the round brush are just too stiff. My hair kept getting caught each time I tried to roll it in the traditional blowout/curling fashion. It was like those old plastic brush curling irons. My hair didn’t like it. And because I couldn’t get a consistent rhythm going, my hair ended up frizzy.
This would probably work better on shorter hair than mine. My hair is a blunt cut, and the length is above my chin and at the nape in the back.
I think Sultra is overrated. I bought the Bombshell and was never impressed.
