I wasn't sure based on the negative reviews but I'm so happy with this book I can't even tell you how much. Darren McGrady has a gift for taking complicated recipes and making them accessible and delicious for everyday cooking. Everything I've made from Darren McGrady books and recipes has come into my rotation binder. Thank you Darren for sharing your gift with the rest of us.

Wonderful recipes in this book. The book was noted as used & in this case it meant inscribed to Merri Ann (not me) and autographed by Chef Darren. I need to remember to ask more questions......... great recipes though 😊

A delightful, fun read with great recipes. Just like his first book, "Eating Royally", it is full of entertaining, sometimes humorous, stories along with highly tested recipes adapted to his liking. And it's divided by seasons with menus for every occasion to take the guesswork out of cooking for your family and friends.

Nicely produced book and I do like the Royal Chef recipes as appear on UTube.
But nothing in this book to inspire me.
Too American (not a bad thing in general) but recipes dont translate well to British home cooks.
My fault I should have read the reviews!

Very interesting book with good ideas and simple recipes that impress. I'm watching "Royal Recipes" a new TV show. This week, Darren McGrady made an appearance and prepared "Chocholate Marquise", a favourite dessert of the Queen. I was so pleased to find that this recipe is in this book!

Do not buy! A complete waste of money. The author is catering to a US market, and all measurements are in US measurements. Ingredients are vague at best. In one recipe, the author asks for flour. What type of lour?! Just rubbish! Waste of money!

I was looking forward to when this book was released, but on opening the book, I was disappointed to read in the recipes, that it is aimed at the American market, it would have been nice to have the metric measurements including in the recipes
I won’t be using the book as I intended to do, and I won’t be doing the calculations to convert back to metric
