I have an English Cocker Spaniel, 14 1/4” tall at the shoulder and about 27 lb. I bought this onesie as an outdoor coat to run him in the field and not have to spend hours afterward brushing out burrs and sticks and bathing off the mud.
The fit was surprisingly good. It is a bit loose in the belly area, but my boy does have a tuck up so I think this probably can’t be helped without custom coats for different breeds. The stretch is excellent, so it wasn’t too difficult to get on him. I have a similar coat made for outdoor use on my other dog, and his is less stretchy and thus much more difficult to get the back legs into. Once the coat was a little wet, it sagged a bit in the upper legs, but that didn’t affect the protection nor his comfort level.
He ran in it just like he does without a coat. It didn’t restrict his movement at all and it didn’t cause any discomfort. His coat was protected well from sticks and burrs, and the coat didn’t get snagged or damaged in any way.
Although I didn’t use it in the exact way intended, I did notice that when I took it off there was hair on the inside, which doesn’t happen with my other coat, so I believe it likely works well as a shed defender too.
I would recommend this coat.

I have no idea if this works and will keep the fluff from destroying my car on Saturday but let me say this... I haven't laughed this hard in years. If for nothing else it get 5/5 stars for how hilarious it is! It's like my pup is like one of those late 90s early 2000 men that wear full spandex! You'll know if you know.... She is currently not sure how she feels about it she keeps sticking her back leg straight back like a kicking backwards like a horse which is making me laugh and then she wags her little wiggler puff when I laugh which of COURSE is poked out of the fabric... I'm dying right now. I doubt she is a fan but doesn't seem any hotter than she normally is she always pants and the fabric seems breathable it's also winter right now so I'll just let her have the window down and air on her. Am I mean maybe but is this not the funniest cutest thing I've experienced all year yes... Most definitely yes. Buy it.
