I am using and testing it with my Nexus 6P on the Android N preview 4 and have found the app, Ampere Battery the most accurate to test charging rates on the new operating system. I am going to base this review on facts and less on opinion. The cable is quite thick in comparison to the original Nexus 6P lead to handle the max 3 amps, I suspect it could charge a laptop, Macbook or Chromebook faster than 3A, it says up to 100W (I think that’s around 20A) but I have not measured this. The plugs feel sturdy, are around 50% longer than the original but are almost exactly the same shape and size, I have been able to use all my cases with the cable without a need to remove it. It is re-enforced with kevlar, so should hold up well with the rigors of day to day use and comes with an 18 month guarantee. Being USB 3, it should support transfer speeds to 5Gb/s, audio and video, I have not tested this.
I used an app, Ampere Battery to measure the rate it was charging. I first tested this lead with the original 3A charger with 89% charge in the battery, the app said it was about 1500mA/h. I then tested the original wire when it was at 91% and the recorded charge rate was around 1100mA/h. The third test, which was a 3A car charger, this was showing around 900mA/h with a 92% charged battery. As the phone battery gets nearly full the charging rate drops, I decided to see if the Anker lead was still the best charging rate. It showed around 1450mA/h with the battery at 93% charge. I have attached screen shots only of this lead to avoid confusion. I drained the battery of my phone to 58% where it should charge at around 3000mA/h (3A), It charged at around 3000mA/h - full speed.
To sum up, if you need an extra USB-C lead to charge a phone or compatible laptop, you can't go wrong with this lead. Don't be fooled by the cheap leads, this lead seems very sturdy and out performs the original. For me the facts I have stated above are not a matter of opinion and speak for themselves, this lead while slightly shorter than the original 100cm but superior in every other way. If the length is long enough, buy it, it is better than the original.
I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, and I promised that my review is fair and honest.

Edit (12/23/17): As it turns out, it's not Anker's fault but HP's fault for my GS8+ not connecting to my late-2017 HP Spectre 13 laptop. HP gimped the USB Type C ports so that a USB Type C to Type C cable won't correctly mount my GS8+. I've tried several other brands - Ravpower, j5create, Belkin - and I'm getting the same result.
Even HP Support said that I have to instead use a USB Type C Hub with a USB A connector to connect my phone. Really stupid & annoying of HP.
