This is a pretty good device and I've enjoyed using it. However, one of the main reasons I bought it was for the fan on the back. Now 11 months later the fan no longer works when plugged in. The rgb lights still come on but not the fan. All I hear is the wine of the motor as if it's seized up an just won't spin. I also can't use the controller when charging through the controller charging port. It will charge the phone but then it somehow loses the connection to the phone. There may be a usb setting somewhere that solves that problem but I haven't figured it out yet.
So with no fan and not being able to charge my phone while playing, which you're supposed to be able to do with this controller, I'm really disappointed.
Update 11/13/23: After writing this review I have discovered that using a different usb cord makes the fan turn on. I was originally using a micro usb cord with a usb-c adapter on it and, while it would charge my phone just fine, it wouldn't make the fan on the controller turn on for some reason. Switching to a full usb-c cord seems to work though so I'm changing my review to 5 stars. The fan does an excellent job of keeping my phone cooler.
