So here’s the deal, I’ve been using these grips for over 10 years. Starting with the Xbox 360 and now for the series x. I’m not sure where I picked these up way back when, but I’ve been hooked on them ever since. I’ve tried using other grips and nothing seems to match the quality of these frog grips! They just seems to fit my thumbs perfectly. Great grip and not overly sticky. Highly recommend!

I've been using my Xbox 360 controller for over five years now almost everyday and I must tell you, controllers do wear down (my controller barely has any of the rubber left; basically worn to the plastic thumb sticks). So I searched online to see what would be best solution, and i found the Grip-iT Analog Stick Covers. For about 4 dollars, why wouldn't any gamer buy these? Whether if you're a casual gamer or a hardcore one, these help A LOT! They can be a little difficult to put on, depending on the type of controller you have, what console it belongs to and how worn down the thumb sticks are. But after about a minute or two, my controller felt new again. I have had these for a couple weeks now and these are pros and cons.
PROS:
+ Improved my response time to all games due to added Grip-iT grips.
+ Has very EXCELLENT grip/traction, even for intense game play; Non-slip.
+ Improves my leverage, allowing me click and move my thumb sticks much easier.
+ Cheap; around 4 dollars (without shipping).
+ Much easier to buy and put these grips on instead of taking your controller apart to put in new thumb sticks.
+ includes 2 sets of two grips, 2 black and 2 blue.
CONS:
+ May be difficult to put the Grip-iT grips on your controller's thumb stick, depending on type of controller, type of console and condition of thumb sticks.
+ Some people may not like the non-symmetrical logo where the thumbs are meant to be; they/you might prefer a couple of stud points like the original Xbox 360 controller or rounded thumb sticks like the Playstation controllers (I don't mind it though, the outer ring helps by keeping your thumbs in place and the logo doesn't bother me, even though I would prefer some thumb studs instead.).

UPDATE: It is closing in on a year (~11 months so far) of moderate to heavy use of these grips and I'm still using the same original pair (and without swapping them between sticks). They do show signs of wear, but are still fully functional. They look and feel like they still have plenty of miles left in them too. Most users should be able to clear at least one year of use on one pair (experience may differ for those who are rough with their controllers).

Side-note: I stopped using aluminum thumb sticks and switched to interchangeable thumb sticks (provided by Battle Beaver Customs) around September 2019. The pair I'm using are PS4 OEM style in terms of shape (and using shortest stick option which is a tad higher than stock). After about 9 months of use, the rubber of the thumb sticks themselves still appear like new, i.e. these grips preserved the thumb sticks really well.

I just received these and tried them on a few thumb sticks. So far they appear to stay on very well and do not move (or slide). The grip surface is very satisfactory. I recommend these thumb grips.

One thing noticed, is the under edge of them do make light contact with the top of the ring of the controller when installed on PS4 stock thumb sticks. The resulting friction appears to be very minimal/unnoticeable. However, this issue is present with other brand thumb sticks as well.

Regarding wear down, all thumb grips will eventually wear. Even if these wear down more quickly than others they are only $5 for two pairs. I will be testing these out further regarding their longevity.

I decided to combine these with Buwico aluminum thumb sticks. Those sticks are a little taller than PS4 stock.

Another viable option for thumb grips are the GelTabz brand thumb grips.

The idea behind this setup is to have aluminum thumb sticks that will not wear down and not need replacement, but still have a rubber grip. The grips will eventually wear down, but its cheaper and less time consuming to simply replace the thumb grips than it is to keep re-buying and re-installing new thumb sticks altogether. I have tried thumb sticks provided by Battle Beaver Customs which wear down very quickly and I have tried Scuf thumb sticks which lasted a LOT longer, but eventually did rub down and needed replacement (this issue is also present with PS4 stock thumb sticks albeit they do last a lot longer now than they did in the early models).

The Grip-iTs are amazing and much better than the Orbs. They don't look like it when you first look at them, but they seem to have found the perfect size to give them the proper fit so they don't come off, the Orbs must be too tight because they are a pain to put on your controller and then come right off like tying to put on the wrong rubbermaid lid.

I like how the blue Grip-iTs look the most but you also get the black ones in the same pack so you can choose which one you like. I find that they really improve my performance in FPS and I can feel them grip my thumbs like crazy. The material is really nice and flexible so they are easy to put on the controller and provide lots of grip. They do not get in the way of rotating the thumb sticks all the way.

These are a must have since they will prevent your controller from losing the factory grip pads, but anyone looking at this probably already has started tearing the factory rubber so tell your friends! These still fit nicely over torn rubber, I just left the factory rubber on even though it was torn. I think they would not fit as nicely if you took the factory rubber off.

These fit PS controllers easy and I highly recommend them. The analogue sticks have as standard a rubber coating which easily peels off after a few hours. The Grip-Its stay on well and protect the controller sticks. You get a black pair and a blue pair which is perfect if you have a pair of controllers.
