Worth the investment!
Yes it is TRUE !! it did increase the speed and gave full coverage of my house!!!I bought this as a bundle along with ARRIS SB8200 Modem Docsis 3.1.Installation was very very easy with respect to the devices (MODEM + EERO MESH 6). Need to chat with my ISP since this is the first time I am upgrading from DOCSIS 3.0 to 3.1 and to register this new device with them. If you were with the same dilemma like me, you will see a tremendous increase in Internet speed (you will be surprised by looking at my attached screenshots). Yes I did with doubt for a year to make a decision of upgrading my modem to 3.1 whether it will truly improve the internet speed or is it just a business strategy by ISPs in the market. But now I have to admit it is TRUE. 3.1 upgrade is needed if you do WFH or have multiple device streaming.I have not explored its full capacity of how many devices it can handle, for now only 16 devices connected and it does it's job with justification. But I did verify the coverage and it has improved 100%.In layman terms - ARRIS SB8200 is a modem and does not have an inbuilt router in it. The EERO MESH 6 does the job of a router (physically 3 router devices at your house with the same WIFI name to connect to your devices). So, No need to manually switch to connect to these MESH devices as we normally do with a WIFI extender. Wherever I move around my house there is a MESH device to back my N/W coverage. I believe it can easily cover 5000 SQFT as they promised. Whenever there is a switch of MESH device happens I can see the coverage strength drop for a second and then regain its full strength in seconds.I am satisfied so far with this device as far as the coverage, signal strength all over the house and its perimeter (garage, driveway, backyard) and most importantly for the competitive price in the market when compared to the price range of a Netgear ORBI.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, Arlo owners beware
Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2020
We have only one option for Internet where we live and it’s U-verse 50 Mbps. While that speed is not as fast as what people with cable can get, or fiber, it’s fast enough to do most things with no issues. The problem comes in with the U-verse modem/router combo; it’s weak. The 2.4GHz signal wouldn’t reach the other side of our 2k square foot house, and it couldn’t handle more than a few devices requesting data at a time. Constant loading, dropping, streaming problems, signing off WiFi and just using cell data... you name it, it was annoying.
The Eeros have resolved all these issues, we have 5GHz all over the house, in every corner now. My cell phone, Netflix, laptops, TVs, FireCubes, everything function the way they are supposed to. Speeds are up, connectivity isn’t an issue, the app is easy to use. Honestly I wish I would have got something sooner and not suffered with the U-verse combo router/modem.

The Cons:
Arlo. This isn’t Eero’s fault, but owners of Arlo should be warned, this didn’t work with Arlo. Why didn’t it work? Arlo’s base station uses the same WiFi name and password of the router it’s plugged into to talk to the cameras. I’m not sure why this is, design flaw for sure, but this is not adjustable. The Eero WiFi signal, being so strong interferes with the Arlo, and it can’t talk to the cameras leaving them all off-line. Ultimately, my solution, and this maybe a solution for another AT&T user, is I turned my AT&T router back on, renamed the WiFi, and turned off the 5GHz signal. My thought was the 5GHz signal is so strong from the Eero, none of my devices that can use it are connected to the 2.4GHz signal, so this limits the competing signals. This solutions is working and we haven’t noticed any differences, other than the Arlo now functioning of course.
Limitations of Eero, you can not turn off the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz signal if you want, I would have turned off the 2.4Ghz signal from Eero if I could have.

Con: This is minor, but when you launch the app, it has no idea what your Amazon devices are, or what they are called by you. Being an Amazon device itself, I found it frustrating. I had to turn off each Amazon device and wait for them to drop off as active to know what they were and name then correctly.

Honestly though, this has been a game changer, I knew the U-verse router/modem combo was bad, but had no idea how much better it could be.

Attached is a picture of the speed tests, the picture shows an increase in speed for sure, but keep in mind it doesn’t represent how limited the AT&T router was in handling multiple devices and handling them consistently.
