    Jaybird has great customer service
After a year of using the jaybird vista headphones, they are good headphones for all around use. They really dont have the best speaker/listening quality when making phone calls, but I didn't buy these to make calls. I use them to listen to music while I'm in the shower, sauna or at the gym working out.The only downfall I had with this product was that I had an issue with the right ear bud and the multiple right replacement buds they sent. Either the volume wasnt in-sync with the left bud, or it the right bud had to be turned on by pressing the earbud manually. The only reason I think these are great headphone is because Jaybird stands by their products. As soon as I had an issue with right earbud, I reached out to warranty, sent my warranty information and got a replacement right bud. I had to reach out to Jaybird Warranty customer service 3 times because the right replacement ear bud always had issues.Im glad that Jaybird stands by their product, after 3 instances where I had to reach out to Jaybird warranty, they always sent a right replacement bud within a few days.On my forth time reaching out to Jaybird for issues with the right replacement earbud, (original right bud, plus 3 replacement right buds all under warranty) They sent me a new set of ear buds. This is my first product experience with Jaybird. At the time they were $180, it was an investment to buy these, its unfortunate they right bud kept failing.Im glad jaybird stands by their products, has great customer service, and warranty on their products. If it wasn't for the warranty team at Jaybird these headphones wouldn't get a review. All I can say is that Jaybird stands by their products and they have great customer service/warranty.

Top reviews from the United States

Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2020
First of all, I'm an extremely picky buyer and I have never written a product review before. This is literally my first one ever, and I buy a LOT of stuff on Amazon. However, given my experience with these JayBird Vista earbuds so far, I felt compelled to write a review based on my initial, admittedly short experience with them so far. It usually takes me a very long time to make purchase decisions, especially on higher-priced items, given how much research and wavering back and forth I typically do. Regarding this purchase, I finally pulled the trigger on buying wireless earbuds a little over a year ago after getting sick and tired of the inconvenience of tangled cords during my workouts. So, I originally purchased a pair of Anker SoundCore Spirit X over-the-ear, wireless (each ear connected by a wire, though) headphones in early 2019, and as a new wireless headphone user really loved them - fantastic sound, comfortable, easy to pair and use, and seemingly good value at $36 on Amazon (the price on them has come way down since then - for now-obvious reasons). After using the SoundCores only 10 or so times with no issues, then simply stopped working - specifically, after the battery started getting low, and I tried charging them, there was simply no response from the headphones - no LED lights, zero response after pressing any button, etc. So I contacted Anker support and they sent me a new pair, with no issues. I then used that pair for around the same amount of time, and literally the same exact thing happened with that second, replacement pair, too - just simply stopped working. Needless to say, this was extremely frustrating. So I then bought a pair of true wireless earbuds from TJ Maxx for around $25 (Merkury Cirrus), which were okay (they didn't really stay securely in my ears, especially when running, the sound was mediocre at best, etc., the Bluetooth connectivity was very finicky and would connect and disconnect if I moved my head a certain way, even holding my iPhone within a foot of the earbuds), but they did the job. I used them for 8 months or so, mostly when exercising, but then they also just stopped working - the right bud, which apparently is the only one with Bluetooth connectivity, apparently got damaged from sweat, rendering the pair useless. I then borrowed a pair of my wife's cheap, generic, Amazon-bought wireless over-the-ear headphones, which also did the job okay for around 2 weeks or so until I found them melting and about to start a fire while being charged a couple weeks ago. So I decided to finally go for it and spend the money I should have spent in the first place on a theoretically much better, higher-quality pair of wireless headphones and began doing a ton of research on the best ones, especially for workouts. Water resistance and secure fit were tied for my number one criteria, with sound quality a close second. After reading a ton of reviews, on Amazon, on Consumer Reports, and on CNET, among other sites, my decision came down to the JayBird Vista and the Beats Powerbeats Pro, given the consistent positive reviews for both. I thought I would ultimately go for the over-the-ear style (i.e., the Powerbeats Pros) for purposes of secure fit, not falling out, etc., but I was really drawn to the reviews on the JayBird Vistas - in a May, 2020 CNET review, for example, they were rated the most secure fit for workout headphones. The secure fit reviews, along with the high ratings on sound quality, the fact that they have the highest water resistance rating of any other ear bud I looked at (characterized as essentially waterproof with an IPX7 rating), and are described by the manufacturer as essentially "mil-spec" (military spec, given the "fully waterproof" rating, along with "Earthproof" - crush-proof, drop-proof, sweat-proof construction) really impressed me. Even though the Powerbeats Pros were supposedly on "sale" at $200 on Amazon (regularly $250), the JayBird Vistas were slightly less at $160 (also "on sale" on Amazon with a retail price of $180), which is ultimately what helped me finally decide. So I purchased them this past Saturday afternoon at around 2 pm, and to my amazement, they arrived on my front door step by Sunday at 10 am. I've only used them a couple times, since then - both during workouts, including in the rain just yesterday - and so far I'm extremely impressed. They were fully-charged out of the box, automatically paired, were super-easy to place into my ears and get a secure-feeling and very comfortable fit with already-installed the No. 2-sized eargels, basically blocked out all sound even before turning my music on, and then after turning my music on, sounded incredible. I'm a heavy sweater, and during and after my run in the rain yesterday, they didn't budge while exercising, and worked perfectly. I downloaded the JayBird app, which is cool because you can customize the sound with preset equalizer settings, or with your own custom settings, and again, the sound quality is truly excellent. Pure, deep base, crystal-clear highs, and smooth mids. I'm crossing my fingers that I continue to have good luck with these JayBird Vistas. If I have problems with them, IFirst of all, I'm an extremely picky buyer and I have never written a product review before. This is literally my first one ever, and I buy a LOT of stuff on Amazon. I'm a heavy sweater, and during and after my run in the rain yesterday, they didn't budge while exercising, were extremely comfortable to the point of me forgetting that they were in (other earbuds would start to get uncomfortable after a while) and worked perfectly. If I have problems with them, I'll come back and update my review, especially since I haven't used them much yet. However, I'm very hopeful! Finally, I would have given these earbuds 5 stars in each category, but I gave them 4 stars for "noise cancellation" because they're not actual noise-cancelling earbuds with noise-cancelling technology (like a lot of Bose products). They do, however, basically serve as noise cancelling earbuds given the snug fit - when not playing music, they essentially serve as ear plugs (the fit is that tight - but still comfortable!).

I purchased these earbuds based on a couple internet comparison reviews. I had previously owned a Jabra 65t. However, the criticism of those earbuds proved to be spot on, and I continually fumbled with and dropped the earbuds while trying to put them in and take them out of the case. The Jaybird Vista buds do not have a similar issue. in fact, they are the easiest to take out in the most secure to put back in the case and fit in the charging slot of all the wireless earbuds I have owned (6+ pairs).

The major selling point on these earbuds was the secure fit. my ear canals are different in each ear, and the left side tends to be a difficult fit because simply changing the size of the buds does not work well. The jaybird vistas fit securely in both ears without any jiggle or discomfort.

The audio is clear, no problems cutting out or distortion with the exception of the initial connection, as the earbuds link up with each other and then synchronize the first time they connect with the phone.

The interface is USB-C, which is a plus for me as my phone is USB-C, and I'm tired of carrying around micro USB adapters in cables.

The case itself is excellently crafted and securely closes and opens.

making the Bluetooth connection for the first time was a little weird because it required the case. The earbuds themselves will not connect directly to your source, unless you hold down a button on the case to establish the initial connection.

the controls on the earbuds are simplistic, which is both good and bad. what I like about the controls is that they are not dependent on heat signatures or any such thing that you might find on other expensive wireless earbuds. why is this a good thing? because those touch sensitive systems rarely work except on the most expensive sets, and even then it doesn't always work. The jaybird vistas are actual tactile buttons. that is great. The downside is that there is only one button on each earbud and you have three different options one press, two press, hold. The default settings do not have anything for volume control. they come with the basic play pause, answer hang up, on off. there is supposedly a program you can download to customize the buttons. I have not downloaded it or played with it yet. I'm not sure I want to. I like to keep third-party junk off my phone.

speaking of my phone, these earbuds were tested and are used with a Pixel 3 XL. so it's vanilla Android 10 at the time of this review.

as far as sound quality goes, there are compromises. this doesn't have the same base that I can get out of the Jabra or even one pair of amazingly powerful Hong Kong knockoffs. however it is as clear a sound as any earbuds I have used to date. and there are no problems with the sound. battery life is still in question, as I have not had the opportunity to use these for extended periods of time, but I did use them for a couple of hours straight and the charge went from 100% down to around 60%. however I wasn't actively listening to anything for approximately 20 minutes of that time. also, the earbuds said they were 70%, but as soon as they were connected to the phone, the phone said they were 80% charged. so there is a discrepancy there. I don't know if that's a firmware thing or an Android OS thing.

finally, these are overpriced. they're not terribly overpriced, but they should be closer to $100 rather than $200. they don't have the extensive features that you find on the $180+ (with tax) sets. The biggest selling point on these earbuds is their secure fit and usefulness for active people. that, to me doesn't warn a nearly $200 price tag. but I knew that going in and was desperate for something that both fit my ear and didn't fall out of the case trying to put them in and take them out.

although I rate these earbuds as 4 out of 5 stars in every category, I give them 5 stars overall because they are everything I wanted, so they met my expectations perfectly.

Man, I miss these, unfortunately, I forgot my pair in my clothing and only remembered when the washing machine was done doing it's spins. Sad funeral indeed. This was a great product, solid build, ergonomics are on par with the best, I know there is a new version of these, however, if you're aiming to save bucks. they are a good buy. Well built, fits well, stays in the ear for different types of sports movements, good battery and good sound quality, not sure that they have notice cancellation, they are old, please double check. The accompanying app also allows you to customise the sound and experience of the earphones which is great.

I love these and have used them for almost two years solid. Mostly for exercise. Love the fit and they don’t hurt my ears. They don’t fall out when running around and they’re great at blocking external noise. Comfortable to keep in my ears if I pause the audio and just need the noise reduction. Case is sleek and none of the notifications are too annoying except for the blinking light when charging at night. Random hiccups with battery life/connection that have resolved with troubleshooting. I think the sound is pretty darn good and you can adjust it in the app…they're like an extension of me at this point.

5.0 out of 5 stars impressive battery and sound quality

Bought these for use in the gym and to take calls when on the move. In terms of fit, they fit comfortably in my ear and come with a nice case which also charges the headphones when not in use. Sound quality is better than previous pairs I've used and sound cancellation is also solid. Best feature by far is battery life which was impressive and interface is basic but functional. Only nit I could point out is when noise cancelation is on and you're on a call, it can sometimes cancel your voice at first if another person is speaking. I suspect it's trying to minimize outside noise so you can hear the other person speaking. That said, it's an extremely minor issue and resolves itself after a second. Very happy, would buy again.

Did anyone think to mention that Bluetooth technology doesn't actually work through water, so if you want to use these while doing laps they will cut in and out.
