I have been using Moto G phones for years now and I got this as an upgrade to my Moto G5 Plus. This is indeed a phone in the mid-range price category that delivers the same as a high end phone. My G5 Plus was still working but was just not performing up to par. I am so glad I did my research and saw what a superior jump in quality this phone is.
Pros
Beautiful phone with exceptional picture quality
Much improved, great sounding speaker
Screen touch sensitivity is amazing
Cameras and Video are pretty great quality
One Button Navigation works perfectly
Fingerprint reader never falters
Call quality with At&T is better than any phone I have used before
Phone is super fast and can perform many tasks at the same time effortlessly
Videos, movies etc. look amazing on the huge screen
Cons
Battery life is fine and with average daily use I get a full day. But on days with more time in actual apps I do need to recharge. But it recharges to 100% in about an hour.
So this is a beautiful phone that I honestly am thrilled to use on a daily basis. I am no longer jealous of those with I-phones or just higher end phones. Moto G has raised their game here to new levels. This phone is so worth the price and compared to it my old Moto G5 Plus looks like a miniature toy. There is no comparison between the two. Transferring of data from the old to new phone happened in minutes. Get a screen protector and case for this one. The phone truly deserves it. Plus though very attractive the phone is slippery. I cannot recommend this phone enough. This is a superior and extremely impressive phone that cannot be beat.

Great device at a very competitive price
Just received the phone and so far everything works well. I put my Verizon SIM card in before starting the device and as soon as everything booted up I was downloading updates, getting text messages, etc. The SD card I installed isn't supported and the phone wants to format it first before I can use it so that was a bit disappointing. However, everything else works properly. The device advertisement says it has a 6.2 screen. I'm upgrading from the monster sized Nexus 6 so it feels a bit small being a little more narrow than my previous device. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet but I will say it feels more comfortable in my hand compared to the Nexus 6. It's an attractive device but it also feels slick and prone to drops so you may want to get a case with this. (Never did put case on my Nexus 6, it was too damn big) Call quality is good and the speaker in the bottom works well. The camera takes decent pictures and there's plenty of storage on the device with 64gb in the device. I've been doing a ton of updates, installs, video streaming, etc and I haven't put a dent in the battery percentage yet, so I'm pleased with the battery performance. My initial opinion is I'm surprised the G7 is available at this price. I think if you decided to purchase the Moto G7 you will be very pleased with what you get out of the box. I know a lot of people are going for the G7 power for the battery life but I will say the regular G7 is definitely worth the purchase as well.Update: I've used this decide for a little over a month now and I still feel like this was a great purchase. I don't get the impression I'm using a mid-range device. Everything about the Moto G7 feels premium. This is my first mid-range phone from Motorola's G series and what Motorola's has done with the G series is a winner in my experience. I decided to format the SD I installed and now it works perfect increasing the storage capacity in my phone. Battery life is still excellent even while using gestures and other Motorola extras in the device. I can be a heavy user and the battery life easily gets a full day on a charge. Speaking of, it only takes about 15 minutes and you get something a full charge depending on how low the battery is when you plug your phone in. If you're in the fence still about this device I still say you won't be disappointed with this device. I think you'll be impressed with just how nice this phone looks, feels, and functions.
