Pros:+Durable, hasn't fallen apart after a year of use+Rubber bumper provides good grip and decent protection from moderate drops+Hasn't discolored after a year of use like other clear rubber cases tend to do+Headphone jack and charging port covers keep dust out, neither have loosened up very much+Cutouts and buttons line up wellCons:-Somewhat loose fit; not to the point where the phone moves around a lot in the case, but the bumpers don't make full contact with the sides of the phone and leave some of the chrome railing exposed-There is a lot of empty space between the inside of the case and the phone's back because the back of the case is flat while the back of the phone is curved. This leaves a lot of room for dust and other debris to get in through the camera hole-The previous problem makes the case seem a little thick (not sure how much of an improvement it would be if the case properly fit though, since the G5 Plus isn't a particularly thin phone to begin with)-The case makes noise whenever I take videos due to how grippy the rubber is and the looseness of the case (whenever I slightly change my grip, it makes a fairly audible "sticking" or "creaking" noise, as another reviewer put it)-Hard plastic back is a fingerprint magnetOverall, this case has done a good job at keeping my phone safe for about a year. Regardless, the empty space on the inside and the noise it makes when taking videos has been bugging me for awhile now. If you don't care about its tendency to collect debris on the inside, annoying noises when taking videos, and the overall bulkiness, then I would recommend this case to you if you want decent protection from drops while still being able to see your phone's design through the case.

Perfect fit. Maintains the classy look of the fine gold Moto G5 Plus. It make the on/off and volume buttons easier to find and work perfectly. The case is soft enough to make the phone easy to hold, rigid enough to protect with an easy snug fit, and thinner than the old flabby jelly cases I have used in the past. I couldn't ask for anything better.

As others note, it comes with shipping film on both sides. The instructions state to separate the film at the camera opening, but they show a phone having a rectangular lens. The Moto G5 Plus has a round opening and it was impossible to get it started there or anywhere else. Then I thought of another way.

TIP: Use a piece of shipping or packaging tape to lift an edge or corner of the protective film. Simple! They come right off with no marks.

My G2 with the slightly curved back was easy to pick up. The G2 plastic case was easy to handle. I never had a cover for it. But the G5 Plus is a whole different phone. The metal back may be an upgrade, but it's SLIPPERY!. The flat back of the phone makes it thin, but it's really hard to pick up. Picking up the uncovered phone without touching the screen is nearly impossible for me so I fumbled and dropped it a lot. Scratches on a metal phone are nasty.
BUT- now I have my new Moto G5 Plus cover. It's perfect. This cover is gripable, but not sticky. I can pick it up whether it's lying on the front or back. It doesn't slip out of my hand or slide off the arm of my chair.
Function; The push-thru buttons on the case work the power and volume controls on the phone transparently and I can't tell the difference between phone buttons and cover buttons. Covers at the charge port and ear phone port open easily and stay closed.
Color; I have the gray phone - lunar gray it is. The smoke perimeter looks good. Yes, it does cover the color of the edges of the phone. The back of the case is perfectly clear. It's all good.
Fit; Spot on. It fits securely. It's easy to put on. I took it off just so I can report that it comes off in about 10 seconds.
The BOTTOM LINE; basically I don't like covers on thin phones. I don't like the extra bulk. But for this phone I needed a cover and this cover is everything I'd hoped it would be.

This case fits like a glove on my Moto G5 Plus. It is sleek and hardly looks like there is a case on my phone. It is easy to take on and off, the buttons and access ports are in perfect alignment, and the USB/Headphone port covers are easy to open. I can't speak to it's protective properties (haven't dropped my phone...yet) other than to say that it has a military drop test rating and that is one of the reasons I bought it. It is comfortable in the hand and provides plenty of secure grip around the sides. The protective back is clear and provides protection for the camera lens. I noticed in other reviews some difficulty with removing the protective films (inner and outer) on the back cover. I teased the corners up using a sharp pointed knife and managed to remove them without scratching the surfaces, although a sharp plastic tip or toothpick would probably be a better solution. Extended pull tabs on the films, as one reviewer noted, would be an improvement. I didn't install an additional screen protector because the Moto G5+ has Gorilla Glass 3, but I'm sure one would fit easily if you like having the extra protection.

It fits great and the volume and power side buttons still work great even with the case covering them. Although it has great coverage it is still not over bulky and looks great. I wanted a case that didn't cover up the pretty rose gold of my phone and this let's the color show through plus adds to it. I've only had it a few days but it does seem very durable. The edges are slightly raised as are the edges of the camera cutout to offer some shock protection if dropped. Thankfully I haven't had a chance to test that out yet but it does look like it would help protect from drops. Love it! Very happy.

I virtually never write reviews, as my expectation is that every product will perform as advertised. To move me to spend even a few precious minutes of my life tapping a keyboard means I'm either incensed or euphoric. One would not think that a small piece of plastic could induce me to wax poetic, but.......

A bit more prosaic, but maybe more useful, is a description of why this case should be on your phone. Of course it fulfills the expected requirements: it fits and protects the phone, as will a gazillion other cases. But the first time you pick up your phone in this case, you will wonder why you ever put up with the other clumsy, awkward pieces of plastic you have been using. It's contoured perfectly, and the hand (touch, feel) is sublime - you immediately relax, no longer concerned about it falling out of your hand, and begin interacting with the phone. But even though it has that necessary bit of tack (grip, stick) to feel secure in your hand, the phone still slides into and out of your pocket easily.

And not insignificantly, as one other reviewer mentioned, it looks fabulous. Ringke is concerned that the case arrive unblemished, providing a peel-off protective film on both the outside and the inside of the case (for comparison, it was packed with more protective packaging than my phone).

One last item that I appreciate - the outer packaging is made of non-toxic materials that are completely biodegradable.

Quality TPU, covers the contours fully to offer 100% protection. It goes yellowish, and within 8 days, so that is a negative. Otherwise there are plenty of positives.
Rear side has feet to prevent scratching, which was a very thoughtful move. The flaps + lanyard hole again smartly provide features which the original chassis lacks. The cut outs are precise. Holes align properly with mics, and there is no annoying branding either. My only complaint is that the back is a bit slippery.
