Don't Waste Your Time (4/4) and/or Money (6/8)
To start with..... the device itself is about as sensitive to your touch as a thick rubber door mat. It's "supposedly" touch sensitive, and you can set the tempo by touching the device in time with the tempo. Something like a tap tempo on a guitar delay pedal. Good luck with that...... twenty minutes later, you just give up.Now...you can set the tempo by connecting a phone /tablet app to the device; but then you MUST have your phone or tablet with you. Yeah.. you'll likely have a phone or tablet with you, but the whole purpose is to be able to set the tempo and start the device without one.Poor Design - there's NO on/off switch. You turn the dial and "touch" the device to turn it on/off. Did I mention above how sensitive to the touch the device is?Poor Design - they've combined the charging port with the electric probes that provide the vibration. PROBLEM - it takes a special proprietary charging cable. I'm sure if you lost this proprietary cable, you could get it replaced for a $mall(ish) fee.Poor Design - nothing on how to change the battery? My guess is, you either a) can't change it, or b) it's proprietary. I think you get the idea here.Poor(er) Design - it's supposed to send a vibrating pulse to you, so that you don't have a loud, noisy, clickety-click type metronome to put up with........ but the funny thing is, the vibration actually makes a buzzing sound. OK, perhaps that buzzing sound isn't quite as loud as a typical click-clock metronome, but you can actually hear the buzzing of the pulse one room away. This IS THE SHOW STOPPER. There's no "volume" control that I can see on the phone app. The whole reason I bought this was for live recording of a one person performance using a looper. The mics pick up the pulse vibration - it's THAT LOUD.Now....as a nice consolation prize, you DO get a guitar pick. (Unless of course you're not a guitar player, or you don't use that kind of pick, then it's not much of a consolation prize).Concept is plausible.... their implementation; pretty poor.
