No, it only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection.

2. Is Indoor Cam C120 compatible with HomeBase 3?

Yes, it is compatible with Homebase 3, however it currently only supports the storage function. BionicMind, modes, and automation are not yet supported.

*Push notifications with thumbnail previews require thumbnail preview images to be temporarily stored in the cloud.

    I mounted an indoor camera outdoors undercover and it's been working great. You don't need a base unit in order to use these, you just need Wi-Fi and a microSD card. I'm not a techie guy and hook up quite easy. If you point them out windows as I have you have to turn off the infrared setting. I also have a Lorex system but it tends to be more problematic

    These paid for themselves already. I came home from work a couple days ago and my dog was limping. I was able to go back a few hours and see what happened, and it saved me from having to rush him to an emergency vet. He was being a bit overzealous when the letter carrier dropped off a package (thanks eufy 2k doorbell) and in his zeal and zoomies, tripped on a pillow. Small dog problems. So, I recorded the video off the camera storage through the app, and sent it to the vet. Still want to have it checked out, but we know it's probably minor. And I can keep an eye on him while I'm at work, with full audio and talkback. Well worth the money. These are going to be upgraded, and one moved to the basement for flood monitoring, and another moved upstairs to monitor the hallway so I can see how the cat keeps getting into things she shouldn't be, which was the initial reason I bought them. AI is still a work in progress but eufy is super transparent about how they use your data, and you get to choose what, if anything at all, you share with them. Highly recommend.

    This is a good quality, budget camera that supports HomeKit Secure Video. But to use it with HomeKit, you must set it up using the Eufy Security app. Here’s how:

    1. Download the Eufy Security app from the App Store.
    2. Create an account.
    3. Select the option to Add a device.
    4. From the Device Family screen select Wired Camera, then select Indoor Cam.
    5. Plug in the camera and follow the onscreen instructions. The app will guide you through connecting the camera to your Wi-Fi network.
    6. When you get to the screen warning that there’s no microSD card detected, touch “Skip”.
    7. If a firmware update is available, touch “Update Now”. This may take several minutes.
    8. Read the mounting notes for your desired location, or touch “Skip”
    9. A live feed from your new camera will appear with three dots in the bottom right. Touch those dots, then touch the gear icon.
    10. Touch “General”, then touch “HomeKit Portal”. Touch “Add now”.
    11. Follow the on screen prompts.

    You can now use the Apple Home app to customize status and notifications, recording options etc. But it’s important to understand that HomeKit integration requires the Eufy Security app. If you disable Motion Detection in the Eufy Security app, motion detection will not work in the Home app. To avoid getting dual motion notifications (one from Eufy Security and one from Home), In Eufy Security go to Settings and select Notification. Deselect all notifications.

    The picture quality is good and works well, but it is not fully compatible with Eufy Home Base. Initially, after connecting Home Base 3, the app could not enable pairing with any of C120 Indoor Cams. What was not apparent was that the app has to be upgraded. With the upgrade the pairing was possible. But note that the pairing only allows for recording (not the bionic features under Home Base 3). But since the recordings are now working, I have revised my overall rating for the C120.

    Facil de instalar y realizar el setup, único inconveniente es con HomeKit de Apple, ya que solo permite 1080p y no el 2K, aparte le quita muchas funciones que en la aplicación de eufy si tiene, y sobre ese problema no es posible usar el “Video Seguro” de iCloud si no se cuenta por fuerza con un HomePod o Apple TV 4gen por lo que he tenido que conformarme con almacenar las grabaciones en tarjetas micro SD, pero todo esto es problema de intentar usar el protocolo HomeKit de Apple, ojalá mejoren ese servicio pronto.

    It took less than a hour to set up 6 cameras. Now I can keep track of all the human and nonhuman critters in the house while I'm at work. No one answering the phone, no worries, I can see them with their headphone on in the den.

    I bought these because I wasn’t happy with the clarity of my blink cameras or the blink app. Unfortunately I’m not sure if it was worth the switch. The first thing I noticed was that in order to get the 2k picture quality, you have to pay for cloud storage which is more expensive than even Google nest. No thanks. And if you want local storage for non-2k videos, you need to buy a micro sd card for each and every pay camera you own.

    The second thing is that when I left my house, I could not play back any of the videos that recorded when I was not at home. Not at all. The app would just spin and spin but not play even though I had good cell service. I came home, got online and learned these only work with 2.4ghz wifi instead of 5ghz so I switched to that. I then switched the video streaming to audio instead of high. I left my house again and my cats set off the camera. I was able to play all but two of the videos so my changes weren’t a guaranteed fix. Not happy that I had to decrease image quality in order to get it the app to only partially work while away from home. What good are these cameras if the image quality and clarity has to be decreased in order to be able to use it when not connected to Wi-Fi? I obviously don’t need to monitor my indoor cameras if I’m in my home so these need to work without any issues when I’m away and not connected to a wifi connection. The app is seriously lacking overall. I can’t seem to shorten the length of the videos and it just doesn’t have enough of the various settings like the blink app did. The lag time to get it to respond to changes is awful. Sometimes I can’t even turn off the camera if I don’t want anything to record because the app is just non-responsive. I though blink was bad but this is worse. I am a very unhappy customer and I haven’t decided if I will be returning these or not. Luckily it’s to monitor my cats but I will definitely not be upgrading to their outdoor cameras like I had planned because their cloud subscription is too much for multiple cameras. If the app improves then maybe but not for now.
