5.0 out of 5 starsWonderful robot cleaner, fits under furniture better than Roomba, great price

** Update 5/1/21 **
I wrote the below review over a year ago and downgraded it in January due to failures of the brush fan motors, and the complete inability to buy new ones. Anker has since put replacement parts for sale online here: https://us.eufylife.com/collections/accessory, and you can now replace all the key modules that might fail over time (short of an accident, this will likely just be the motor assemblies). The motors use plastic gears, and the gears will inevitably fail after a year or so of daily use, which is kind of frustrating given the high quality of everything else about this machine. However, I can forgive that now that replacement parts are readily available and easy to swap out. The drive wheels (with motors) are easy to swap. The other motors and gears are easy--but require complete complicated disassembly that may be tricky for most consumers.

ANKER--you have disrupted the robot vacuum market from iRobot's monopolistic overpricing with smaller, cheaper, and beloved little Eufy machines, I have restored my 5 star rating now that replacement parts are offered, and because of the fantastic customer service offering replacement parts if appropriate. But--please, please redesign the gearboxes so they do not fail prematurely, this is the only blemish on an otherwise fantastic product!

I LOVE my Eufy Robovacs. I have 3 of them, purchased maybe 9 months ago. Two of them are this 30 model, basically identical to my other 35C model but without Wifi. I never use the Wifi, but the important kicker is if you don't get one of those models you can only run these manually (which is what we do upstairs so we can control the timing), or by setting up a scheduled time to run every day. So, these guys run EVERY day in my basement and first floor, and the house is impeccably clean now. It's really addictive to live in a clean house, but be warned that this is addictive--I can never go back to manually vacuuming when I think "it's time to clean", which turns out to mean the floor was dirty most of the time. These things really really work well, trust me the negative reviews you may see are just the competition spamming Eufy for having a better product, bad luck, or a hater. Here is what I've learned:

- It's finally time to buy a robot vacuum cleaner. The price is finally low enough (be sure to use their coupons!), and they work.
- Eufy improved on what iRobot pioneered. Never mind all the technical bells and whistles of the Roomba product line, they are all too big to work as well as the Eufy. These things go under most furniture and clean everywhere, no more dust bunnies under the bedroom furniture and china hutch.
- Eufy is in 2nd generation and the sensors are not as advanced (e.g., no mapping yet). Don't worry about it, their software is so smart that uses pre-wired cleaning patterns in combination with the simple sensors and with randomness and 100+ minutes per day of run time it gets >95% of the floor perfectly clean each day. Yes, I look forward to the smarter generations coming, but these work really well, and the short size, suction, run time, and price are far more important than a competitor's claims about sensors.
- You can buy replacement parts pretty cheap on Amazon (3rd party ones seem to work fine).
- Life with Eufy means the house is always clean, all you need to do is dump out the dust bin about weekly (easy to check if it's full), and keep the roller brush free of hair and carpet fibers by cleaning that--for me that's every 2-3 weeks. Perhaps monthly seems fine to clean the actual filter. Everything is super easy and well designed.
- You do need to "Eufy proof" your house so it can clean, it will get stuck on the end of a cord, string, etc.
- It goes up and down over things surprisingly well, and almost never (like 5 times out of 270 days) gets stuck on the long strings on the end of my huge oriental carpet.
- It will occasionally get stuck in some crazy situation--it beeps for help, and goes to sleep if you don't save it. There is a particular rocking chair whose base is a Eufy trap (like 1 time in 10).
- Eufy customer support is really fast and great. I had a drive wheel go bad on one of them, and they identified the problem and sent me a new wheel under the 1 year warranty. Replacement took 5 minutes with a screwdriver, now it works fine again. It appears that you can buy all the parts cost effectively if this happens out of warranty.

I hope this helps someone, these are great products and I'm happy to be in the new age of clean living!

3.0 out of 5 starsDidn't work for my needs, but not a bad product.
Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2019
I have a large open floor plan, and the idea for this was to have it roam around and pick up the dirt on the hardwood floors and rugs. I wasn't expecting perfection, but enough to keep the floors reasonably clean. This will likely fit the needs of someone with a smaller area to clean, but for me , I ended up returning it.

The Good:
-Suction is surprisingly strong
-Battery life is as advertised. I was skeptical at first, but it really gets 90-100 minutes on a single run.
-App is simple and easy to use.
-Emptying the bin, and cleaning out the brush with the included tool is simple.
-Extra filter and extra side brushes included in the box. I wasn't expecting that.
-Setup is a breeze.
-Transitioning from hardwood to rugs is no problem at all.
-It's quieter than I expected.

The Bad:
-It gets stuck regularly. On the first 2 runs, it got stuck and needed to be freed 4 separate times.
-I was a bit disappointed with the build quality. The 30C and other models have what appears to be a glossy, glass-like top, and many reviews on those other Eufy RoboVacs praise the durability of it, however the top of this one is scratchable plastic. The top of it got scratched on the very first run after getting stuck under a table.
-On my open floor plan, it would get in a loop type pattern and clean the same areas over and over again, while totally ignoring other areas.
-The sensors that are supposed to keep it from bumping into things are just not good. It would bump into things to change direction more often than the sensors would pick up objects. The bumper does minimize the impact to furniture, but it would still push some of my decorations around.
-Does not stop or notify you when the dust bin is full. I was very surprised that this feature is not included. Instead it keeps roaming and moving dirt around instead of vacuuming it up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for the price of these Eufy robotic vacuums

Great value, great connectivity to Wi-Fi, quiet, great avoidance of stairs, or worse, high level drop. We have iron rails with a clearance of about 4 inches at the bottom, and were terrified at the thought of our new unit dropping to the lower floor. At first, we used the provided magnetic tape, but then realized that the tape is not for drop avoidance, so we tried it without. Afraid that it would drop, we were ready to try to catch it. But, thankfully it did not drop. Our hallway is approximately 14 feet in length, and it overlooks a lower floor. Kudos for this feature. The 35C model is basically the same as the 30C model, but with a plastic top instead of the glass top, also it has four buttons instead of one of the 30C. I like the looks of the 30C better, but the buttons of the 35C better. Also, the 30C remote control response seems to be a bit better than the 35C, but I'm not sure. They both seem to have the same power, they do a great job picking up dust, and dog hair. We are surprised with all of the dust and hair that both units pick up daily, from an apparently clean wooden floor.
The BAD, neither unit is able to find its way home (the charging base) unless it's in the same room, and even then both struggle to find it. If there is a way to hone in to the charging station, I will upgrade to a 5 stars review. We are not addressing durability, because we have just purchased both, to see wich one we like better, but at this point are considering keeping both. By the model number the 30C seems to be an older model, but yet it is more expensive, perhaps due to its glass top? Again, following the logic in the naming of these units, the 35C would seem to be a higher end model, a newer model, but yet has a lower price tag, and a less appealing plastic top. The Eufy manufacturer representative (who was very nice) could not explain the reasoning behind the models incongruity in the name and the pricing. It seems that the main focus for choice would be looks, and price.
UPDATE - the company reached out to me and explained how the return to home base sensor works. In addition, they explained that for larger floors with multiple rooms, an extra base may be required. The extra base works like a charm. Albeit, the 35C has not required it so far. I love my 35C, and so far is going strong. We'll come back to attest to durability.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cleans hard floors and low pile carpets well

I bought this to clean a small one story home. The random pattern eventually reached most areas, but the battery died before it got to all the rooms, which was surprising. I have not yet used the app or the remote, so I cannot address their performance. However, I was very pleased with how much dirt the Eufy picked up on its first run in what I had thought was a fairly clean house. The dirt bin was almost full. It was easy to clean the rolling brush and the edge brushes and to empty the dirt bin. The Eufy got under almost all my furniture including the beds and chests of drawers. I picked up thicker throw rugs after noting that Eufy had a little problem with them, but I have to pick them up when I dust mop too. In short, a little preparation beforehand seems to lead to the Eufy doing a pretty good job with minimal effort on my part. I think I will like this.

Update: Today the Eufy and I worked better together. I started in a room that wasn't cleaned before it died last time. It cleaned the entire area and several more as well and did not lose its charge before it went back to its dock. It picked up almost as much dirt as the first time. I noted that it helps to clean sensors each time it's used, especially if it is near stairs. The remote was intuitive and helpful. I recommend picking up small pieces of furniture and chairs for the best results.

Further update: I love this Eufy! It usually cleans the entire house on one charge, works well with the remote and the phone app. I use it 2-3 times a week and clean the dust bin once a week or less. I never have to take out the big, heavy upright vacuum. The Eufy reaches under the bed and sofa and other places the upright can't go. it works well to clean up dry spills too. I've using this machine for several months now and still love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars This rotot vacuum is great!

I received this item three days agoand I have put it through it's paces. I have not let it rest for long testing it and robot proofing the house. Robot proofing was not too bad. I just tied up some cables and fixed places where it got stuck. I have read where some say it has trouble finding it's base, but I have not noticed that. My base is located near the middle of my home. I have taken it to different rooms and then told it to go to it's base and it has not failed to do so yet. I guess that I have tried this 20 to 30 times. If it is in a different room it may take it a little while to find home though. It needs to wander around the house until it gets close enough to sense the base.
This thing is fun to just watch and I am facinated by it as it roams around the house. I have never had or even seen one of these things before and I just love it. It cleans my carpet and tile floors quite good. And you can even watch T.V. while it is cleaning, in fact I think that one could sleep while it is doing it's thing. I run it in boost IQ mode mostly and the battery lasts around an hour and a half. It picked up some twist ties that it found on the floor and the main roller alarm went off. Removing the brush and cleaning it is very simple and quick to remove and replace with no tools needed. This dust bin isn't very big so it should be emptied after each use. It seems to like to go under our bar stools and then it is funny watching it try to get out again and it always has done so. It just barely fits between the legs. It bumps into a lot of corners and legs but has not hurt any thing. It had no trouble with our throw rugs either, and we have five of them in our bathrooms and one at the front door. We do not pick up our shoes and it just goes around them. Our shoes are white so that may make a difference, but I do not know. And the best part is that I got it on a Deal of the Day sale for $75 off. What a bargain.

Update March 19, 2019
I have used this vacuum every day for the last 3 weeks and it is still working just great. My reason for the update is to let you know how good Eufy support is to work with. I was trying to use the wifi connectivity with a desktop PC and a software called BlueStacks which emulates an Adroiid device and could not get it to work. The robovac was never designed to operate this way but I asked support for any advice. They told me that the vacuum was never tested to work that way but that they would look into it. They offered me a choice of a complete refund or a free replacement kit. I took the free kit. I do not think that Eufy needed to offer me anything because I was trying to use it in a way it was not ever intended to be used. Support like this is a not a common thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow Love Ours
Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2020

Just over two months in with ours now. Loved it so much that we bought one for our parents for Xmas. All of the features claimed here and on the Eufy web site are confirmed by us. It does not fall down stairs. It has no problem going from kitchen floor to carpeted living room, although it cannot manage climbing over some of our low throw rugs. It bunches them up and gets stuck, so we pick them up out of the way when running the Robovac. The random pattern works great, finding every nook and cranny as well as all of the wide open space. It phones home via the iPhone app if it gets stuck under a low hanging piece of furniture or on something else. It picks up an amazing amount of dirt and dust. And on and on. I love being able to say "the maid" is vacuuming and I am out in the backyard sipping a cool one! :)

And OMG. How often do you move your beds out of the way and vacuum under them? Us? Maybe once a year. Robovac can do it every time. Get ready for some full up dirt compartments in it! :) Love that it can do that and we no longer have to move beds to vacuum underneath them.

I did have some trouble getting configured to get Alexa to work with it, but you know what? Since then, I find that I never use Alexa to control it. I use the app and/or the remote. Alexa is good for a lot of things but we didn't find a need for that in this case.

In the dining room where we have six chairs and of course a bunch of table legs, I thought for sure, Robovac was going to get trapped underneath and never find its way out. Nope! After a lot of back and forth, it did find the way out and moved on to the rest of the dining room and kitchen.

Does it fall down the stairs in our two story house? Nope. The sensors find the edge and quickly re-route the unit to another direction.

Our parents are reporting the same results with the one we bought for them. Fantastic!

You may have seen videos of this unit on other reviews here or on YouTube. They are real. Ours perform as seen there.

I love our so much that I may buy another so that I have one for each floor (hey, I am lazy! :) )

Can't wait until the robo vac manufacturers perfect the robmops! And hey, can we get robo-window-cleaners next please? Oh and wait. Robo vac car washers? :)

Update. I changed from 2 stars to 1 star. Would love to give it 0 stars. I hate this vacuum. It is a piece of junk. I wasted my money on it and regret buying it. I wish I had purchased another Eufy 11. I thought this model with the Wifi capabilities would be nice. I never got the wifi to work on it. It barely cleans. The dust pan is almost empty every time I use it. It clogs itself and prevents the dirt and hair from entering the dust pan then it leaves dirt and hair clumps everywhere. It has a new problem now. It will constantly beeps while charging. I had to turn the power off tonight. I am so upset with myself for buying this model and throwing away my money on it. What a stupid decision I made buying this!

OLD REVIEW.......I have a older Eufy 11 that I love. I thought getting a new one with more features would be a good idea. This vacuum is terrible. It is nothing like my old one. It clogs so you have to check it every 5 or 10 minutes. That is not helpful. It does not clean properly since it keeps clogging. I am so disappointed with this purchase. I used my older Eufy 11 at the same time as the new one and it picks up so much more dirt and hair and never clogs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eufy Robovac, my new best friend!
Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2019

After a disappoint from Roomba (paid close to $400 from Costco, ended up returning; loud motor noise and not so satisfactory performance), I found out Eufy also had a robovac. After purchasing 4 Eufy stick vacuums last year (2 for my house, 2 for my mother's as gifts), I was happy to try Eufy robovac earlier this year which had become my best friend ever since! This little friend has 2 brushes (Roomba has one brush only) with a large size dust bin with a lid and filter with easy access and cleaning. My first floor alone is over 3000 sq ft, she has no problem cleaning the entire floor with one charge, I think she can go easily 90 min non-stop. Also, she hardly misses anything (I have 2 little kids, my floor can get quite filthy), also very quiet (compared to Roomba) and sturdy. The App is also great but since she minds her own business doing her job, I don't usually need it, unless she gets stuck from my thick hairy rug in the master bedroom - after a few stuck, I now close the master bedroom door when she does her round.
A few weeks ago though, she started spinning in circle without moving further, looked at a few Youtube videos, figured her drop sensor was dirty. Cleaned it using soft cloth - took me less than 1 min, now she's back to her full performance! Can't be happier. I also highly recommend Eufy stick vacuum - so light and easy to maneuver, dust bin easy to clean, with built-in LED light. I don't use it as much since my robovac but still working hard for the 2nd floor in my house :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Achievement Earned! Vacuum the house from your couch.

I love this little robot! I may gross some people out because we had not vacuumed since Christmas Eve and I got my Eufy in February. I am currently trying to heal up a partially torn tendon in my ankle, so being able to rest while I clean was worth the price for me. Being able to control the direction of the vacuum in the app made this like playing a video game. I have never vacuumed so much in my 39 years of life, and I have never enjoyed it more.

I read a lot of reviews and researched this vacuum before buying one. I had the Eufy 30c on my list, but when Amazon put the 35c on sale I bought it with gift cards and Discover cash back rewards. Like some in the reviews, I cannot afford to pay much more than $250, even though the 35c is worth the $299 tag.

Right out of the box it ran for what seemed to be two hours. I may be overestimating because I emptied it four times. I directed it to come to me, cleaned the brush, and dumped the waste just to put it back down to clean more. We have hardwood laminate floors with light and dark rugs and it transitioned easily from one surface to the next. One rug has black in it, one has dark brown, and the other rugs are various colors. None of them set off the drop sensor.

"Cat chaser" picked up tons of cat hair, crumbs, dust, litter, and cat food (shown in photo)! It even picked up a toy mouse and hid it in a different room. We have yet to find it. I have also used it to bring a different mouse toy closer to me so I can throw it for one of the cats (pictured) to fetch, and to bring my shoe when a cat played with it until it was across the room. As for the cats themselves, one hides from its robotic brother and the other (in picture) follows it around and watches. So, I cannot answer whether a cat riding on the robot will press the buttons or not.

For the most part, it does not bump into furniture or walls on automatic mode. I have seen it hit a thin chair leg, but it was probably not in the sensor's line of sight. I assume the sensor is not active when using the directional controls in the app because you can smash it into things.

I love that I can pick up the robot, carry it to a different room, and set it down to spot clean without using the app or remote. It will go underneath our kitchen island and microwave cart but, unfortunately, is too large to fit under the couch.

Sometimes it has trouble finding its home after a hard day of cleaning, but it does live in a cluttered place. It has not run out of battery before it makes it, or before I help it get home. I have heard it scream for help a couple of times, but the fixes were easy.

I do not use the scheduling mode because I have two cats who have free range of the house. They can make messes, so I prefer to be home when I run the vacuum. If you have not read it, look for the horror story about the robot vacuum running over dog poo at 3am. I cannot wait until these vacuums are smart enough to detect biological waste.

Woes of a Robot Vacuum Mom: A Novella

Our story: I received an iRobot 650 as a gift 3 years ago and my life was forever changed. But being denied the opportunity to research every vacuum out there and consult the great and wise Consumer Reports beforehand, I always wondered if there was a better robot for me. We moved into a two story house a few months ago, and even though our trusty iRobot faithfully cleaned our entire main floor every night at 2am with no issues, we decided to get a second robot helper, cue the research and Consumer Reports, enter the Eufy 35C. We moved the iRobot upstairs and thought the fancy newcomer was up to the task of cleaning our main floor every night at 2am. But alas.

Why this robot should burn in hell: Someone somewhere went to great lengths to make this vacuum incredibly quiet. Like quieter than a small fan. And then they stood back, admired their work, took apart a smoke detector, and attached the beeper to this vacuum. If you, Dear Reader, have already lost your hearing to an earlier model of this vacuum, or if you are an enigma who leaps for joy when your smoke detector alerts you in the middle of the night that it's batteries are dying, then this vacuum may be for you and you can skip ahead to the rest of the review. For the rest of you, who like your hearing, please know:  It beeps when it starts. It beeps when it finishes. It beeps when you pick it up. It beeps when it gets stuck. And for it's grand finale, if it can't find it's way back to it's station, it starts beeping AND DOESN'T STOP. Why it doesn't just turn off and wait until morning to be rescued, I cannot say. But at 5:30am, I found myself frantically pressing the buttons to get it to stop beeping and it refused. I quickly carried it back to it's station whilst it's beeping took years off of my hearing. After five failed attempts to correctly align it on it's charger, I finally succeeded and the beeping stopped. The ringing in my ears did not.  So if you desire, like us, to have your floors magically vacuumed while you sleep and still have hearing in your golden years, this vacuum is not for you. See video evidence.

A less dramatic overall review:
The battery life is not up to throughly cleaning medium-large areas. We have an open foyer/dining room/kitchen/living room area and it does not make it into every area before it's battery dies, or if it does, then it does not do a thorough job. It claims, as does my beloved but now questionable Consumer Reports, to have significantly more suction than other robot vacuums. It has three cleaning modes/suction levels, and the only thing I can figure is that this higher suction is only at level 3, but this mode only has about 30 minutes of battery life. So I would not be able to do my nightly cleaning in this mode, I would have to manually put it into a room of my choosing, let it clean, and then recharge it (which takes 4-5 hours, by the way). Level 1 is very quiet, but the suction is dismal. It rolls over bread crumbs and rice grains and grass blades and kindly leaves them behind. But it apparently does pick up some particulate because it occasionally decides, particularly when going over transitions, that it has been too stingy and so it redeposits some of it's debris (see picture). Level 2 supposedly fluctuates between 1 and 3 when it senses extra debris or carpeted flooring. Level 3 is noticeably louder than level 1, so it wouldn't be hard to tell when it's switching, but even on our high-pile carpet, I have yet to hear it switch into level 3. It also has an edge-cleaning mode. In this mode, it finds the wall and then cleans along the wall until it gets all the way around. It works great and is pretty cool, but why does it need an edge-cleaning mode? Because it doesn't actually clean the edges during a normal cleaning cycle. When it senses it's getting close to a wall or object, it changes direction. Sounds great in theory, especially since one of the few things I dislike about my iRobot is that it clumsily bangs into everything, but in actuality, this means that the walls and corners, where most debris naturally collects, never get cleaned unless I manually put this thing out and put it in edge mode.

The positive features (because I am apparently incapable of giving even non-sentient beings a one-star rating):
I like the price. I like the app. I like the remote. I like that it's quiet when it's not beeping.
