Introducing Acer's ED323QUR 31. 5 Inches curved gaming monitor - the WQHD resolution monitor that can keep up with your game play. Acer support showing why they are great
*Updated* I'd like to update this review, after calling technical support I was able to get a very caring CS rep you referred me to a Lvl 2 agent who asked me for documents and images to show everything I stated after I did they replaced my item. Acer showed me once again why I buy their products. Customer support is top notche I was disappointed with the rep from the fulfillment center which didn't seem knowledgeable about products and I didn't feel heard. After speaking to customer support though ACER is amazing. Thank you.I purchased this fall of 2018 not even 12 months in after I receiving the monitor I started to Artifacts on my screen, the monitor had to continually warm up each time like in the attached pics before I could use it. Dec 2019 I contacted Acer product support, they were not very helpful, and asked me to ship it to them. I decided not to initially since it was a hassle and I needed the monitor for use. Fast forward to Feb 22 I paid $85 for shipping, I'm being told it was damaged upon receipt and they wanted me to pay $249 for a repair and yet its on sale now for $289. I paid $450 for it.No understanding what's so ever from the rep that received my monitor and called me, very unprofessional. I will never buy a monitor from Acer again.
    Thank you for your feedback

Received this monitor thru the USPS in good condition - boxed really well. The monitor's base was very easy to install and frankly is a solid base to me. The monitor has a nice up - down tilt to it which works good on my desktop. I was not sure about the curve this monitor has but after a couple of hours use I like it. I checked the monitor for dead pixels or color problems which there is none, also there is no uneven lighting problems around the edges.

I added some pictures but they don't do justice to it 4K video abilities. This monitor looks very good in 4K.

I am using this monitor in its native resolution at 144Hz driven by my MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Gaming X 8G Graphics Card and it works perfect - no tearing at all just great viewing. I find this monitor with my graphics card to be very fast and responsive.

The only down side to this monitor is its brightness at only 250 Nits, so a true 4K display its not but it sure looks good.

This in my own opinion is a great monitor and a great price. If it last and has no repair problems then I will have a real winner.

Very satisfied and would recommend for a great buy.

We did a lot of research when we decided to upgrade our monitors. So many things to consider and trying to do your research all online can kind of make your head spin! This model didn't have a lot of reviews yet, but really seemed to hit the sweet spot between features and price so we went ahead and took and chance and couldn't be happier!

The screen is HUGE (coming from a 24-inch) and the color settings out of the box are workable to start, although you can tweak them to your liking. No speakers but I almost consider that a plus, since I've never had a monitor with speakers that sounded better than a kid's walkie-talkie. Cannot comment on the Freesync because we don't have the right graphic cards for it.

You can do a quick search to find and install Acer's display widget, which is very nice in that it allows you to change settings on the desktop and includes the option to have different display settings for different programs or games. It also has a built-in split screen setup with several layouts to choose from. That's very handy and with a monitor this size, I use it a lot to multitask.

But even if you don't get the widget, this is probably the first monitor I've owned where the controls do not want to make me pull my hair out. There is a little joystick on the back and it works just as you'd expect it to work. You push in to activate it or select, and you push up, left or right and the option selection moves the same. It's a simple thing but it's really nice to have controls that are intuitive.

I've never had a curved screen, but it's very nice. Between the size, higher refresh rate and the curve, games are VERY immersive and we are enjoying the games we've been playing more than ever because we're seeing a higher level of detail and you really feel like you're in the game as opposed to watching the game on a screen.

The only design complaint was the way the cables go in when you set up is very awkward. This is, however, a one-time frustration and not a daily issue, so it's easy enough to overlook.

I would not hesitate to recommend this monitor to anyone. We love ours!!

Okay first off I want to make this a thorough review of this monitor. I just learned after 3 years how to fix a persistent issue through their display widget that allows you to adjust it color and etc. I first would suggest to get a table mount that is suited for your table because the original stand in my opinion is not sturdy to hold this heavy monitor. Also for work purpose its also great to raise it.

Second, the brightness is trash however the best settings I suggest is 100 brightness and 80 contrast 2.2 gamma and normal color temp black boost 5-7.

Third, I used a display port and this may be a defect depending on each monitor, but I had constant flickering with my pc and if I touched the display cord it would take a while to turn on but I am sure this is just a defect. If you use a display port cord and you have a NVIDIA GPU or AMD............. YOU MUST TURN OFF FREE SYNC ASAP!!! This is for the case for people who encounter of flickering. This also applies for overdrive, trust me when I say most of the time using free sync and any feature similar isn't worth its performance for most cases.

Finally, the good review. This monitor displays beautiful colors and I use this for gaming and work primarily but also do photo and video editing as well. I would say it would take some time for accurate color correction to get it set up. It overall is a great monitor and I would say it has done its job showing images and videos lol.

    Pros:
    - It's large. Super immersive for gaming just by the size alone. My 24" monitors look puny in comparison.
    - Great value. I wanted 1440p, 120Hz+, VA or IPS panel, 27"+ for a reasonable price. This checked all the boxes and more. It might not be quite as nice as a $500+ monitor, but it's certainly good for its price.
    - Curve is nice. I forget it's curved when I sit down in front of it.
    - The pixel density is about the same as the 24" 1080p monitor on my desk right next to it, so I don't have to deal with scaling issues.
    - Pixel response times are very good. There's practically zero noticeable ghosting.

    Cons:
    - It took a lot of work to get the white balance right. I messed around with the OSD for a bit and just couldn't seem to get it there. I ended up using the Windows color calibration tool. I ended up turning the blue down considerably and turning the red down slightly.
    - The black boost is terrible. Turn it off! It's on by default. It makes everything washed out. I was really starting to regret my purchase until I discovered this setting.
    - It seems like I have to choose between having blacks blur together or having whites washed out. I went for the better contract on bright colors.
    - The stand is kinda flimsy, but I didn't expect much. At least it has a vesa mount.

New Review: The screen developed a single vertical line down the whole screen. I contacted Acer and they processed an rma. Despite being in warranty they want me to ship it to them on my own dime (which will be expensive since its a huge box). Really pathetic for a huge company like this.

my old display was a 22" 1080p tn monitor so when I turned this monitor on I was legitimately stunned, this screen is beautiful. Before I purchased this I was thinking 32" would be too big but after using it for a bit I don't think I will ever go smaller than 32". From the reviews it seems like some people had issues with their panels like dead pixels or lines but so far mine is working great with no issues. Freesync works as intended. 144hz is really nice in FPS games compared to 60hz. You can definitely tell the difference between the two, even in windows moving around the mouse & scrolling is much smoother.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bought with -$150 Prime Day Sale
Reviewed in Canada on November 5, 2020
I saved a decent chunk of change by buying this on Prime Day. For the regular price, I still think this would be a great monitor and you will certainly see the difference if coming from a <25inch 60Hz monitor. The curve isn't really noticeable but I'm sure if I had the same model but flat in next to it I would prefer this slightly curved model. One con is the brightness, I haven't been able to match it up in brightness/contrast with my other 144hz monitor from Acer. It just can't achieve the same brightness as that cheaper 144hz monitor could, which sucks. This is only annoying if I'm gaming with the blinds open, with them closed/at night the brightness is all anyone needs. I was thoroughly surprised by how much bigger the monitor was than I thought it would be. Overall, I returned a monitor bought a month ago that was ultrawide 144hz from a cheap Chinese manufacturer, and now buying this monitor I can definitely see why buying from a trusted brand matters. Also, ultrawide is a gimmick and is only useful in video editing or various other workspace tasks, games rarely fully support ultrawide, and more than not it hinders your experience rather than benefits it. An example of this is Valorant, forcing a 16:9 aspect ratio. So if your like me and deciding between and ultrawide and a bigger 16:9 monitor, definitely get this!

2.0 out of 5 stars Went through two of these
Reviewed in Canada on November 17, 2020
Received the first one, and from the get go there were a few dead pixels upon turning it up for the first time. A couple of days in, it stopped working and would not connect to any of my devices (via HDMI, and/or DisplayPort). I received a replacement and this time there were no dead pixels, however within a few days an issue developed regarding the connection via DisplayPort to my Macbook Pro. It seems to be very finicky when I wake my MPB from sleep mode, the monitor will turn on for a couple of seconds, but won't always recognize that it connected to the MBP (even though the monitor wakes up from sleep mode). It displays a "no signal" message and goes back into sleep mode. I have to unplug and plug back in the MBP a few times to get it to actually wake. This seems to happen most often when I wake my MBP from sleep mode after a few hours of off screen time. Even though it eventually recognizes the MBP, it is still very annoying and frustrating to have to unplug and plug back in several times. When it is working though, it looks and feels great. The HDMI port has no issues and I have that connected to my Xbox, playing games on the monitor is definitely a difference with 120hz, 60fps.

Bought this Screen a year ago. Came in with lines appearing at the bottom of the screen (it covers the whole taskbar in windows). It's still on warranty, but I would have to cover the price of the packaging AND shipping... Which amounts to half the price of the screen to get it exchanged.
    It really sucks.
It is a good screen, but this alone means that I'm stuck with a dud screen unless I'm willing to pay 200$ CAD just to get it replaced.

This monitor replaced my 25" 1080p 240hz TN panel, since I no longer play FPS games competitively. Decided to opt for a larger monitor for casual play, and I'm glad I went for 1440p for 32". The pixel density matches 1080p at 24".

I can definitely notice a difference coming from 240hz 1ms, but its marginal, and a non-issue for most games. I also like that it's G-sync compatible at 120hz.

Note, since this monitor is not too popular, it might take some times to calibrate the colors to your liking, especially without a tool.
