I have a bunch of these in a NAS, they are quite noisy with the typical drive "clicking/grinding" sound when active.

I highly recommend getting the PRO version if you tend to use the harddrives for sensitive data, business, or such along those lines. You want something reliable, get this harddrive! Super easy to install.
