Comparing other reviews with my experience I think there must be product variations. My case has a smooth but grippy matt-black rubber surround integrating button extensions which work well . The black rubber continues across the back of the phone (S10) but is augmented by an external smooth plastic decorative sheet, including the (somewhat superfluous) kick-stand.

I am very pleased with the way the rubbery surround only slightly encroaches towards the edge of the screen glass. The usual wipe-actions (up, down, side) are completely unaffected even while the most vulnerable very edges of the glass are afforded some protection. Equally well-appreciated, the cut-out for the USB port is wide enough to accommodate every C-type USB plug I have, which is a welcome change. Other phone cases and phone combos have forced me to use a sub-set of my available plugs. All the other cut-outs are perfectly aligned so that the microphone holes are *exactly* dead-center of the cut-outs. An excellent trade-off between preserving phone behaviors and protection.

I cannot imagine my case slipping from my hand. It is very grippy. Like others have said I am not about to bounce my phone on concrete to test out the protection, but the design protects the back, sides, corners (front and back) and even stops the front from resting on a surface if laid face-down. Because the S10 comes with a factory-fitted screen protector that will surely scratch more easily than the actual glass I am grateful for that secondary screen protection as I tend to lay my phone face-down.

My wife has a similar material on her phone and has stress tested the corner protection numerous times by dropping it on concrete as she gets in or out of her car so I am very confident of this case's prospects.

When I began typing this review I was going to comment that the case limited wireless charging to standard speed after not seeing 'fast charging' the last couple of nights while it sits on a charger at my bedside; but, when I just tested it a few times it negotiated wireless fast-charging every time. So, there may be some borderline behavior involved with my particular wireless charger (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01H76NIAS).

Only other small gripe is I was expecting the edges to come up farther to protect from straight on screen down drops, although they do provide decent protection as is. It may honestly be due to S10 design with the edge screen. Mom has the exact case for her iphone and the case extends prolly twice as far past the screen. I'd say it's a 4-5 star product, especially factoring in the low pricepoint Hopefully I'll remember to update this aftee a while including the durability, which I felt I had no business reviewing since Ive only had it for a week tops

I really like this case. It's sturdy, non slippery and really makes me feel as though my phone is protected. The raised lip on the top and bottom basically makes face down drops on a flat surface a non issue, as the screen won't ever touch a flat surface.

The edges are well protected by very strong rubber material that is very stiff. If it is able to absorb and disperse the impact of corner drops as it says, that's great, as aside from face down drops, corner drops are the most dangerous for this phone. (I know from experience.

It widens the phone a bit and makes it a tad heavier, but in a way that I really like. I have big hands, and with this case on, I feel like I'm holding something substantial and solid, rather than a light weight fragile phone wrapped in glass that slips given any opportunity.

I got used to the button lay out fairly quickly. I know some people feel like the fact they don't stick out is detrimental, but its really not. Keeping the buttons flat means that if you drop it in its side, the impact will be dispersed rather than the button taking the full impact.

The Kickstand is a nice touch, but its hinge is very fragile and could easily be bent. When using the kickstand, use it gently on a flat surface you are very sure about. It's great for video calls or watching movies if used gently, and responsibly. It's a neat gimmick. Just don't rely on it to be as sturdy as the case.

I like the sturdiness, and I love the weight and the ergonomic, non slip grip in my hand. Spigen took on a tough task when designing a case for this particular phone, and they rose to the occasion. Ive been getting a Spigen for all of my phones the last few years, and they've always kept them safe. I'm confident this will be no different. Thanks Spigen!

I used the s8 one for 4.5 years now and its only started to break about a year ago and am stilling using it. i drop this damn phone 3 times a day from high heights. protected it rly well until i dropped screen onto a corner which the ridges couldnt protect.
Obviously really high quality. The new s10 i got seems a tiny bit lighter but maybe thats dirt and stuff on my old one. hopefully its the same quality as the older one. reasonable to clean. i have actually used the stand a few times but its more of a good gimmick.

If same quality as s8 (time will tell): buy this. its serious hardcore and looks good.
