As a beginner in bullet journaling this is now my go-to book.
The pages are so clean, and the dots are never off. It makes using stencils easy! Also, the color is fabulous, and I like the bookmark and pen holder. The only downside is that it bleeds a small amount if you highlight too hard. But if you build up the color it is fine.
It handles gel pens well, and I did not see much bleedover. Even the darker colors and glitter pens did well. Also, the paper is white, so the colors show up beautifully. A splendid outlet for creativity and productivity!

The dots in the page matrix are spaced well and just the right intensity to be unobtrusive. Paper stock is sturdy and has minimal bleed through, even with liquid gel inks. The 37 rows per page allows day-of-the month rows with space for column headings in tracking spreads. The basics such as page numbering and contents section are there too. All in a solid cover and binding at a standard A5 sizing, with many covers available if desired, but not needed.

Are there cheaper options for notebooks that are almost exactly the same? Yes.
Could you have a sturdy, functional, and good looking notebook for 1/4 the price? Yes.
Would you be happy with that purchase? Probably.
Will it be the luxury, deluxe experience offered by a LEUCHTTURM1917 notebook? Absolutely not.

I rate this as a supremely high quality product, but one that is purely a luxury. The feel of the paper is vastly superior to similar notebooks and writing in it is pure joy. Definitely something to experience if you appreciate fine stationary. It is not necessary, but it is very nice. If you are frugal, move on to a cheaper notebook. If money is no object and the extra $15-$20 isn't going to hurt you, go for it. It's an enjoyable experience.

I am only 3 pages in, so far. The color is bright, and the hard cover is good and firm. When I open it all the way/beyond 180 degrees, I do not (yet) hear glue cracking, which hopefully indicates that the pages/cover are solidly connected.
I like the TOC and the numbered pages. There's also a pocket in the back and an elastic strap that matches the color of the book.
My only complaint is that the pages are thin, and there's some bleed-through. For a notebook this expensive, I want to use a decent pen and expect the pages not to be thin. Currently using a Pilot G2 Extra Fine pen and getting some bleed through.
