This cutting board has been very nice to have on my Counter top. Being plastic I was afraid it would show cut marks. But I haven't seen any yet. I hope it stays that way because it a very nice looking cutting board. I am pleased with this purchase. I may buy another in the future.

I came across this cutting board visiting a relative and hadn’t seen one like it. It had a slight angle and high lip. This makes cutting anything with juice much easier. All of the juice slides to one side and not into the counter. This is also reversible. Both side have an angle and one side has nubs in the middle so of what you are cutting needs more grip you have that option.

This board solves the problem of needing two separate boards for cutting crusty bread and cutting meat! One side is smooth for cutting bread, the other has teeth for holding meat in place while you cut. The floor of the board is sloped so that when you cut meat the juices flow downslope but are caught by the lip of the board. Same with bread crumbs on the other side. It's easy to tip either crumbs or juice out of the board into the sink/trash without making a mess.
The only downside is the material the board is made from. Over time it will get marred by the cutting of a knife, which on wood seems to add character, but on plastic/whatever this is made from, will look very used.
I have a set of four chopping boards by the same manufacturer and I love the design; however, after one year of use the boards are pretty cut up and it's hard to be sure they are really clean since the grooves cut into the surfaces are many and deep i.e., could hold bacteria after just a casual wash. I'm guessing that since this board is made from a similar material the polished look of it might not hold up over time.
That said, this product shows great innovative design.

perhaps 50 years ago I bought a solid maple slanted carving board, which we used for juicy roasts, chicken, and so forth. I loved the design; unlike the flat boards with little gravy. Eventually the board cracked and separated, and I found a New England company that made an expensive version in cherry, maple, and other woods. Lovely but another costly. wood one might crack too. I spotted these Joseph Joseph slanted boards atna great price, started with red and white, got a few for my so in aw, and then bought the grey/blue for me. Though I have other cutting boards - wood, plastic, etc - they ae flat and if I'm using my chef's knife o a pile of onions they fly around and make a bit of a mess, so I thought Id try one of my Joseph Joseph slanted boards for prep work. It was a good idea, I just push my pile of celery, onions,and whatever down into the "well" and keep going, with no mess! My three boards are in constant rotation, and there are usually one or two in the dishwasher every night. The only thing I would like is a smaller one; cut it in half into more of a square and I will use it for smaller jobs, please and thank you! My Joseph Joseph cutting boards are near the top of my "things I can't live without in my kitchen" list!

The design of this cutting board is great. We had one for many years, and finally gave it up because it had gotten so sliced up. However, this new one is not as strong and sturdy as the older model, and is getting dinged up much faster than the older model. So, overall great design but I wish it was better made.
