Okay, this is a review from the dumb, non-technically trained person.... Or at least that's how I felt for a while (you will likely think I was too after I tell you this story).

I got the product and followed the directions. Everything went as planned until I used the included "squeeze card" to get out a few bubbles. At which time, the squeeze card scratched the screen. I was upset and asked for a replacement. One came. I took it off and then replaced the old one without once again washing the ipad screen. I figured it was already clean. Nope! As careful as I was, it didn't work. So I emailed their tech support and they sent me another one. This time, I was not able to use the tabs to get off the top cover (somehow, first time I noticed there was a top plastic cover to remove-oh, oh)... So tech support sent me a youtube video and offered to change out the defective one. The video looked so easy! But I couldn't get it to work. So I want sent a final protector.

Now, I gotta tell you, I have tested very high on an IQ test. But really, I felt sooo stupid. Finally, I had to return them. But now, my Ipad touch screen wouldn't work.

So I go to the Apple store. And to my TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT, there were 4 screen protectors installed on top of the Ipad.. (OMG!!! I felt like the dumbest person EVER!). The Apple Genius guy took the other three off and the touch screen is perfectly fine). Is it possible to want to shrink into an invisible person and disappear? I was soo embarassed!

Well, at the end of the day, these screen protectors were so good, that somehow, I still am baffled how, I installed them so perfectly that I didn't even know I'd installed them. That's how good they are. Moral of the story, read all the instructions all the way through, and pay attention.

And it must be commented on, customer service was fast, very helpful, and never made me feel dumb. They sent several screens... and I finally figured it out. I'm just glad I don't use my real name, where someone could recognize me and my unbelievable ...mistakes!

The PRODUCT IS LOVELY AND IT WORKS. It is a very good quality and the customer service is phenomenal!
It's so easy to do, you might even not realize you did it!

I expected a filmier (i.e., like thick plastic wrap) product, but this screen protector is firm (but flexible). It feels substantial and likely to be good protection. It appears that this protector adheres to the glass surface via a thin film of material on the application side that is similar to that of static cling vinyl decals (but is lightly sticky to the touch--which I don't recommend doing).

I applied according to the basic instructions but should have read further through the various enclosures for a couple of tips that would have saved me much frustration. For those who don't want to read the rest, those are: 1) apply in an area where one might run a steamy shower that minimizes air-borne particulates (i.e., dust, lint), and
2) use the supplied small strips of lightly adhesive material to press against the adhesive back side of the protector to peel away small dust particles that may collect unseen until you actually see air bubbles form around them when applying the protector to the glass screen.

After reading the instructions and watching the video (and being foolishly impatient to actually start using my new iPad mini), I carefully used the two provided lint-free wipes (first the moist one with the alcohol/water mix) and the dry one. For added measure, I lightly sprayed the surface of the iPad with canned, compressed air. I carefully began to lay down the protector and saw how the weight of the film caused an initial adhesion that spread until it the surfaces were completely "bonded" (it can actually be re-lifted easily). In my case, however, there was one little piece of lint that cause a bubble. Suspecting that the adhesive material could be bruised by trying to remove the lint, I carefully used the edge of the card supplied (to spread smooth out air bubbles) to gently rub the lint in hopes it would attach to the card and off of the protector. I lifted up the cover (not totally removing) to the point I could reach the piece of lint and gently rubbed with the edge of the card until it appeared the lint was gone. It took several tries, and each time it was peeled back, there was additional new lint that, while not causing big bubbles, still gave the appearance of not completely transparently attached. Once I discovered the adhesive strips and used them, I was able to restore the covering closer to its pristine state and start over. It worked fine and looks great, but I suspect the bond between the two surfaces is still a little weaker that it might have been otherwise had I not pulled away the cover, cleaned, reattached, pulled away again, etc.

So, for me, the application was more difficult than it would have been had I looked at everything in the package first (beyond just the basic instructions). I think it would still be a bit tricky even under the best of circumstances, but I am am very pleased so far with the result.

On another note, I hope this review is published. After writing my first book review about a sci-fi novel in which I used accepted scientific terminology (physics, mechanics) that was immediately rejected, I learned that the automated process for publishing reviews apparently has lists of words that are considered bad (even if they're not). Wish I had known before all the effort.
