When the carpet is dry, Zorb vacuums up along with the dirt without leaving any sticky detergent residue behind. Zorb is dermatologically balanced so it won't cause skin irritations and is made of 100-percent recycled and biodegradable ingredients to maintain an environmentally healthy home. This single bag contains 26-1/2 ounces (750 g) of carpet maintenance powder. --Cristina Vaamonde

I just purchased three more bags since I was so impressed with how well it worked.
The situation that convinced me to buy more:
In our guest room, a guest had spilled some coffee and a toddler threw up on the carpet. At the time, the guest "cleaned" it up with dish soap and a cotton towel. The mess was gone and there were no stains but since I really didn't spend much time in that room except when guests were in there, I didn't really pay much attention to the stickiness in two areas of the carpet.
We used to have a dresser in the room and after removing it, I noticed that the metal foot had left a rust mark on the carpet. I panicked thinking there must be a leak since that part of the carpet is on a perimeter wall and adjacent to a bathroom and that it felt a little moist. I eventually lifted up the corner and peeled back about a fourth of the carpet to feel the carpet backing and carpet pad. I even used a moisture sensor I had purchased at a club store to test the backing, slab floor and pad. Fortunately, neither the carpet, the pad or the concrete slab floor were wet to the touch or had any indication that there was significant moisture present, however the carpet surface where the rust stain was and another spot where the carpet also felt sticky registered 90-100% moisture.
I then borrowed a steam cleaner and proceeded to clean the carpet and the two areas that were sticky and had an odd smell if you rubbed your hands through it. The steam cleaner did it's job cleaning the other side of the room but made the sticky areas much worse, spreading the two 1'x1' blobs to a single 2'x10' path. I ended up steam cleaning the affected area of the carpet 7 times over the span of a week; allow the room to dry between cleanings. I also called three professional steam cleaners, but they didn't want to clean just one room and I didn't want or need to spend $600 cleaning other parts of the house.
Thinking back to the initial guest cleanup, I suspect that maybe too much soap was used on the carpet which left the fibers saturated with soap that would never fully dry. The consumer steam cleaner probably also didn't have the pressure or suction power to push the hot water deep enough into the fibers to draw out the soap; but I think I did clean the carpet pretty well overall as the water in the dirty water tank went from dirty grey to light tan, matching the dye of the carpet.
I tried a few things afterwards (Folex, carpet cleaner, Dyson spot cleaner) and nothing worked, then I thought I might as well try this bag of zorb I've had in my garage for 10 years since the reviews on Amazon and elsewhere seemed encouraging. I spread the entire bag over the 20 square feet (probably overkill on that small of an area) and worked it into the carpet with the old DC17 zorb head attachment, left it untouched to dry about 16 hours then vacuumed it back up with a 2017 Dyson vacuum. The dried zorb was easy an easy task for the Dyson to vacuum up.
The contents of the bag were slightly moist, not sure how moist it's supposed to be since it was the first bag I've ever used, but I am happy to say that the stickiness and the smell are all gone. The carpet feels normal again.
The only thing I did not like is the smell, it's so strong after you sprinkle it on the carpet that it's practically suffocating to be near. After vacuuming, the smell was easily tolerable.
We've used it two times on our white shag rug - once to see if it would get out general dirt and light staining from a high traffic part of the rug, which it really didn't do too much to return the rug to its vibrant white state. Our fault for getting a white rug in a high traffic room with a dog.
The second time was when said dog barfed on said white shag rug. We started with Nature's Miracle on the rug and blotted away a lot of the mess first, then followed by massaging some of the Zorb into the rug. We let it dry fully for about an hour (it takes much longer than the 30 minutes the bag suggests when on shag rug), and vacuumed it up. It took the stain right out!! We can still slightly tell it's there, but ONLY because we already knew where it was. If we didn't know, you'd never be able to tell. This stuff is great.
We use this with a Shark vacuum rather than a Dyson and it works wonderfully.

Utterly amazed at the long lasting smell and way way worth the price and superb cleaning and freshening. I had spilled a tube of bicarbonate on the front room carpet and it had gotten wet after the doggie had an accident after getting excited. Vanish did bugger all to remove the stain just made it worse. Then I used this stuff and bugger me it removed the stain and all the other dirt and smell and dog hair the vacuum had missed. So I will buy this in future.
