The lingering scent is actually appealing and not heavy and overly strong. Most importantly it leaves me feeling clean and has never once irritated my skin. It also lasts a long time. People say it's not worth it to pay a lot for a body wash but when you're getting at least a month, usually 2 months or more of use out of it bathing once a day, it's actually a bargain.
