Great power pack!!! Multiple outlets and lasts forever!!!
This powerful little guys is awesome!!!! Now, keep in mind that this is not a Generator! This device does not make recreate energy, it’s more of a battery pack but still very useful! I purchased this device because I am always going tailgating or camping and we are always running out of power!! So this device is small, compact, has a great handle and is simple! The powerful battery pack is 40,800 mAh and has two 110V AC outlets, 3 DC 12 ports, and 2 USB ports, so you can easily charge multiple devices at a time. The pack had a nice LED display which shows you the battery life or the current that you’re on. It also has a useful light on the back. The light is not extremely bright but it’s bright enough to help you find items in the dark.Check out my video where I show you how this device can charge a portable cooler and my cellphone! Overall this is a powerful small powerpack! You can take it anywhere and have multiple outlets for charging. I wish it wasn't called a generator, but at least it’s quiet and makes ZERO noise. And also wish it was a little more clear as you do not get the solar power panels. But still this is well worth the buy!!!! LOVE IT!!!

I ordered this the week prior to when Hurricane Irma hit, and was hoping it would get here the Friday before the storm as Amazon said; unfortunately it took until the Wednesday after the storm to get it. I imagine that Amazon had way too many orders from people like me, so I won't hold it against them.

Anyway, now that I have the item here are my thoughts. First, it is much smaller than I expected. I should have looked at the specs more, but I expected it to be the size of a small briefcase. It's actually smaller and lighter than my computer UPS. So it is definitely easier to carry, but less weight means less power. Not holding that against the device either - just making sure people realize that the unit is small.

The specs say that the item's run time is 150 Watt Hours. Pretty good - compare that to 8 D-Cell batteries which is 168 Watt Hours. It appears that this device is pretty much equal to 7 rechargeable D-Cell batteries. Certainly it is more convenient than carrying around the batteries.

I ran my 8 D-Cell battery operated fan on this by using one of the AC slots on the item, and it ran the fan for over 16 hours.

I did purchase the solar connector and a 100W solar panel and tried to charge the device. Sure enough, it worked the first time I set it up. It didn't completely fill the battery back up in 8 hours, but close enough. So with the extra expense, this device is nice to have for future power outages.

I ran it as a UPS on the same fan, and it appeared to work fine. There was some battery usage after 24 hours, but not enough to worry about. SInce this device is supposed to run a CPAP, the UPS only needs to run it for less than 12 hours at a time. Just don't expect to run it constantly like you would run a computer UPS.

I used the car charger to charge the battery, and it seemed to work well. Wasn't going to run the car 8 hours to find out if it charged completely, but it obviously did charge the battery some.

The light is fine, but doubtful I would use it for that. Other cheaper devices can light up rooms during a power outage.

The device has three 12V outlets, and came with a cable that can connect cigarette lighter plugs to the device. It worked to run a couple of my car items. I don't have too many items to use with this, but the outlets work fine.

The USB ports charged our tablets and phones at the same time. We have other cheaper devices that can do that, but having other options are good.

All in all, it's a neat little (and I mean little) device. Is it worth the money, and is the solar charging worth the extra money? Hard to say. No doubt that I panicked a bit when the storm was coming and bought more than I normally would have. But now that I have it, it is now part of my hurricane and emergency kit. And when the next storm comes, it is one more item that helps give me peace of mind.

This battery is absolutely wonderful. Lightweight, compact and it performed stupendously. Unfortunately, I have very little use for it. It sat on our table for a very long time.
During a short black out we had the other day, it did not work with the little electric heater we had. It was pulling more amps than it was designed for and was inmediately rejected by it protective circuit.
I should had known that, but at the time, we needed the heater desperately. The 60 watts light bulbs worked great but we needed the heater more than the light. The temperature Inside the room was below 25 degrees.
That been said. I can't blame the product but the operator.
It can work great as a back up power supply with our ham radio equipment during field-day operation and with our guitar amplifier. It can also power a professional studio flash light set-up.

Nice all around. We are thinking to buy another that has more power, so it can be tailored to our needs. Make sure you understand it limitations before ordering it. To do the basic things, the things they recommend and that will not exceed it wattage.
I fully recommended it.

I’m speaking directly to CPAP users as there are contradictory reviews (on Amazon.com) as to how well this battery will serve their CPAP purposes.

I suspect the reason for some confusion relates directly to folks not knowing the internal workings of the CPAP machines they are using.

The first night I used this utilizing the the dc convertor which is available on Amazon.com

(12V DC Power Cord For Philips respironics DreamStation, with battery cable,1120747.

The Paxcess and the 12 V DC Power Cord are all you need to be off to the races. The Paxcess unit comes with an attachment which allows you to plug the unit into the battery.

The first time I set up the Paxcess with the DC Cord, I was disappointed to find I’d dropped around 50 percent power after my first night of use. I knew that using AC power was not very efficient, but I thought using DC was supposed be much more efficient.

Then I actually went into the “Therapy” section of the Dreamstation menu and made sure the humidifier and any other unnecessary options were turned off. You have to press both the front round button and the smaller button on top of the unit on the Dreamstation at the same time to access your internal menu. And in the internal menu you will find both a “therapy” section and a “comfort” section where you need to turn off everything but the essentials. There are videos online about how to do this effectively. Simply not using the hose with the electrical inside it will not solve the battery drain problem. You need to go into the internal therapy menu and turn everything but the essentials off.

So....

I recharged the unit after my first trial, and began my test anew with a fully charged Paxcess unit, and the Dreamstation set so that it was reduced to the essential- blowing air.

1. After the first night it showed no drop at all after approximately 8 hours. Obviously the Paxcess had dropped power, but it was small enough not to register as even one bar of loss.

2. The second night, I had dropped by one bar, after around 7 more hours of use.

3. The third night it dropped by two bars after 8 more hours of use.

4. After the fourth night it had dropped by 3 bars after 8 more hours of use. There were still 2 bars showing.

At this point I’d seen all I needed to see. Clearly I could get a 5th night out of this little powerhouse. I’d already run the Dreamstation for 31 hours so I’d say you easily get 40 hours out of one charge.

I am not affiliated in any way with the company who produces the Paxcess.

My opinion is that I if you’re looking for something to solve your issues with power outages or having battery power when camping, I would say, without being able to speak to durability issues, that this is an incredibly efficient little beast. I’ll update after 6 months if I run into any durability issues, but it seems perfectly solid to me. Its plastic, but plastic helped put us on the moon. It’s not very big, so it fits on a side table easily and I would think would be easy to carry in a camping kit.

Five nights plus for $250 Canadian, to say nothing of the other small things like routers it can power in case of an outage, seems pretty excellent to me. I had picked up a RavPower with 27000 mAh, but it only has an AC outlet and no way to hook up the DC Cord so I could only get a night and a half out of it.

The Paxcess seems to be a very powerful efficient little battery. It would be nice if one of the battery experts on Candlepower Forums actually did tests on it to clear up any confusion about the real capacity of the battery. I’m thrilled with it.

Apologies for the long review, but I think I can save people time that I had to waste trying to figure out what setup works!!

Update January 2022: Still going strong. Never had a problem. Too bad it doesn’t seem to be available.
Update June 2023: This thing rocks. It’s a crying shame it is no linger available.

5.0 out of 5 stars We use our portable generators for our CPAP's when boondocking with our RV.
Reviewed in Canada on August 14, 2020
We love the fact the the generators are compact and lightweight. I get 4 nights with the CPAP humidifier turned off. My wife gets about 3 1/2 nights because she sleeps longer than I do.

The only negative thing I find is the length of time it takes to fully recharge the generator after you fully discharge it. We try to keep the units topped up daily if we're using them for an extended period.
